  1. The Hornby Service Sheet you're after is HSS 420 - here: https://www.Hornby.com/us-en/downloads/view/download/item/547 R3390TTS parts are in the far right hand column. As Rob says, it seems to suggest that the lighting boards are different but the decoders are identical. Cheers Rob
  2. Interesting, as the lighting assemblies (power and dummy end) have different part numbers according to the service sheet. Historically (the versions with the awful spring connectors rather than wires), they certainly differed - They looked identical, but the terminals were wired in a different order. I can't tell you anything from experience about the specific models that you've got though. Good luck Rob
  3. Just FYI, I understand that the lighting assemblies differ between the dummy and power cars. If you're swapping the bodies between dummy and power cars, keep the lighting assemblies with their respective original chassis. Cheers Rob
  4. Dave No mention of crowdfunding at al for the APT-P, up to and including the basket. I presume this has been overlooked? Cheers Rob
  5. Hi Jim Sorry to everyone for the 'me too', but like so many others I've looked forward to reading (and viewing) each entry in your thread since I followed two or three years ago. Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to post so frequently and across such a varied range of traction/locations. Your superb photography has made it a pleasure. Good luck with GBRf - I hope both they and you are happy for your posts to continue :-) Cheers Rob
  6. On the plus side Dave, it looks like someone has renewed your domain registration at last (as has been pointed out by others, this appeared to have expired until now). Domain name: djmodels.co.uk Registered on: 11-Jul-2013 Expiry date: 11-Jul-2019 Last updated: 05-Aug-2018 That's a positive sign Cheers Rob
  7. I've a funny feeling that the logo is pretty easy to remove from the seats, being a separate element of the upholstery (no doubt for good reason!). But that still leaves the red colour scheme of course. And the vinyls and all the other gubbins…. On the bright side, it probably means another HST livery to model before the East Coast loses them :-) Rob
  8. Oh, FFS. I'd already ordered an EWS one, and now I'm going to add 66789... Still - It's my birthday today, so at least I have a decent excuse. Surprised they didn't announce another 66779. It was named two years ago today :-) Cheers Rob
  9. Ditto too, although I bet we have to wait at least a year or two for another run of sheds to get Dusty Bin and/or 66789. Just to be clear - No certificates supplied with either of the Rails sheds (Poppy or Maritime). And the Poppy emblem (and nameplates) are supplied separately; not fitted. Off to run them now :-) Cheers Rob
  10. It's an ESU V3.5 (according to the Bachmann sound decoder list on the DCC Sound forum).....
  11. Just a thought Whilst I have no direct experience of a wifi-enabled z21 Start, my understanding is that they are sold with the network port restricted (restricted via the operating software). In order to get the z21 Start functioning correctly via Wi-Fi (and hence the app), you need not only a wireless router (which you have), but also a valid unlock code from Roco. Were you supplied with this code, and have you applied it? Cheers Rob
  12. Despite appearances, I suspect that's highly unlikely. I just added one to my basket successfully, and walked halfway through checkout to test it. All successful. I imagine they've simply omitted so far to tell their stock system how many they have, perhaps whilst they sort preorders out. If you want one, I'd say go ahead and buy one. They'll soon refund you if I'm wrong (they're a reliable outfit) Cheers Rob
  13. It's not a genuine virus infection, although I agree there's a problem within the site that's not been fixed. It's a dodgy script somewhere (either on the site, or via an externally linked one) that's running occasionally, pointing to a Turkish website hosting claims that you're infected and creating pop-ups with false information. At the end of the day, it's just a dodgy website link - not an infection. Shut down your browser and it's gone. But Sawyers need to fix it for sure. It doesn't instill confidence as it stands. Sorry - No bargain from me - But Merry Christmas to all and thanks for the links that have been shared this year. Looking forward to plenty more Cheers Rob Edited to add that if you're running a pop-up blocker, you probably won't see the issue
  14. I'm guessing you're referring to sound decoders? - In which case the thread below might be of interest; a list of chip versions in Bachmann's diesel locos over the years http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/83830-Bachmann-diesel-sound-locomotives-loksound-chip-versions/ Cheers Rob
  15. Yes, agreed - I had a similar conversation. Subtle difference though - I was led to understand that the project is no longer under consideration by Locomotion. If we want HSDT to go ahead, we'd need to badger Jason (Rapido) directly. Like you say; I'm sure the Oxford Mk3 announcement killed this project off shortly after it was suggested - at least for now. As a result, I suspect that we'd need to wait until the Oxford Mk3s have been marketed/reviewed before we'll get Jason's attention. Cheers Rob
  16. I'd like to add my thanks to organisers for another superb day out (09:15 to 17:00 in my case) - Like many have said; the highlight of the modelling year. As a post-privatisation modeller, there were two main highlights for me. Firstly, Farkham (I was first viewer yesterday and got the whole thing to myself briefly before the crowds gathered). I sincerely hope it gets snapped up and remains on the circuit; I'd like to see it again for sure. Secondly, Whiteacres. So much running line in a relatively small space, and yet done so believably through effective use of all three dimensions and well executed scenic cameos. Great to be able to pick up lots of varied bits and pieces on my shopping list all in one place. I usually go on Sunday, but tried Saturday this year to see if there were benefits from 'early pickings'. I have to admit I'll revert to Sunday next year; it's a little easier to get around. To think that this show is arranged on a voluntary basis is beyond belief. Hats off to all involved. Cheers Rob
  17. DJ Models announced APT-P in N gauge; various configurations offered. Apologies; I can’t recall what was said about ordering.
  18. Kind-of expected this as I've just got the S-Kits modules on my bench LOL Surely weathered should be cheaper than pristine in this case - No decals required; just paint it mud grey... :-) Pleased to see this done finally though
  19. Don't tell everyone.. :-) Mind you; cheaper still is to park at Tile Hill for free and pay £2.30 return on London Midland. I'm going to have to get there extra early now....! (Sorry - Beaten to it by SVRlad above)
  20. Do I get extra brownie points for mentioning a BRM-specific discount? In the October mag, there's an advert from Shapeways for 15% off your first 3D-printed order (up to 31st March 2018). Enter code BRMXSW15 at checkout. Once again, I spotted this a week after placing my first order...... Although, thanks to Colin Penfold, I got free delivery on that one (an offer that's now ended). Cheers Rob
  21. Hello Paul I had in mind you might be operating well above my knowledge, and your reply has confirmed that :-) The only thing I note that may be of use to you is that the Loksound V4 chips don't appear to be sold with a PluX22 interface as such. On page 8 of the manual (bottom row of the table), it lists them as being available with PluX12 and PluX16 interfaces; the latter of which happens to fit the PluX22 connector. This is covered in section 6.7 of the Loksound manual. I haven't looked to compare this to the Lokpilot decoders I'm afraid. I hope this is useful, if not directly answering your questions Cheers Rob
