  1. can i just say, when i pre-ordered my APT, the coaches were at £89.99, and when Hornby took payment for them, after the price increase mind you, they still only took the £90 per coach pack, so im hoping that they'll only take the money of the APT it was at when i pre-ordered (£484.99)
  2. must of missed the email telling me my pre-order was enroute to the warehouse
  3. at this point, im expecting Hornby to quietly cancel the model and to recall the coach packs and ndms
  4. I think BR just wanted to wipe away any trace of the APT, hence why they were scrapped so quickly
  5. Casually waiting for my 7 Car APT to arrive

    1. truffy

      truffy

By “casually” do you mean leaning against a wall, whistling, with your hands in your pockets, or that you haven’t got out of bed yet?

  6. So, given whats happened with the W1 model, im terrified about my 7 car set arriving in a trillion pieces
  7. Now im kinda glad i never pre-ordered the W1, hope my APT doesn't arrive in a million bits thou. Also, so far, i've never had issue with Hermies other then a parcel arriving a date later then listed on there parcel tracking
  8. Am i the only one counting down the days to when that email arrives telling you your pre-order is on its way
  9. so, if the 7 car pack does have both NDMs powered, would it be wise to have both coupled to eachother for running in or do one NDM at a time?
  10. i will admit though, the livery on the original model looks just as nice too
  11. take this with an entire 7 plank truck full of salt, but according to a comment made by Hornby on facebook, the main train packs are expected to arrive before Christmas https://www.facebook.com/officialhornby/posts/10158015485775843:0 source of the comment
  12. Are those Prototype HSTs a custom model?
  13. Can i just say, that model looks glorious, i hope you do a side by side with it and the new one when the full set arrives
  14. isn't light bleed fix-able using a few layers of black paint on the inside?
  15. i left my coaches on the track with full power for about 5-10 minutes, the capacitorb does work for 2-ish seconds after cutting power
  16. in my case, the now unpowered 49004 spare, i'll probably just renumber it to the spare NDM 49007 since i plan on buying myself two more APTs later on done the line (370003 & 370004 and 370005 & 370006)
  17. im really tempted to buy the NDM and use it for parts for the dummy NDM that comes with the 7 coach pack
  18. no, but they do feel like they could roll over any second, although, they might of just been because i was using eurostar trailers with them
  19. Something to note regarding the ball joint on the bogie, when coupling the coaches, there is no 'click' when doing so, meaning the whole train is held together by gravity alone. That kind of worries me since my layout plan includes a gradient and i fear the coaches my decouple due to it
  20. honestly, i dont dare to open it up, im a newbie when it comes to stuff like that
  21. So, i've gone ahead and opened up the TRBS box and the capasitor on this one is hidden within the kitchen area, still visible through the window on that side
  22. why does it need the capacitor if its drawing power from the track? like, the lights didn't even stay on when putting the controller to 0
