right, just got off the phone to Hornby and all the items have been allocated to me, and according to the lady on the phone, the main set is due to release end of July and the coaches at the end of September

im going to assume its the 01 number at the bottom of the orders page, if so, i'll do it tomorrow

how would i check with them?

Given how popular this model already is, i hope Hornby does make some of the planned APT variants such as APT-U (Ultimate), APT-Q and APT-S (Squadron), although, APT-Q would be the easiest since it was just half of the 14 coach unit just with a DVT coupled to the back

so, ive just given in and pre-ordered the 7 car set and its coaches

not sure if this would count, but a class 370 in the original Virgin livery

looks like its been moved back to autumn now

in regard to coach lighting, might it be that Hornby are using the mag-light system?

thats how the 3 e300 coach packs i brought early this year came packaged

i'm going to assume that the two coach packs you need to get to 14 coach lengths will be in a box like the Eurostar coaches?

the only issue is that i dont have the money to pre-order it as my rent takes nearly all my wages

im just going to wait for it to release before buying it, hopefully the price will go down then

now, if it were to have both a removable nose and head/tail lights, they could go with contact based connections like those used on phone batteries

the only other thing i want with this model is the nose to be removible for loco dragging, but i'd trade that for directional lighting

either way, im hyped even more now

It has interior lighting by the looks of it, my hype for it has gone up

normally, having spare trailers left over wouldn't be an issue but i intend for this Eurostar to be on display on a shelf

Hi, im in the market of the Kato Class 373 in the e300 livery but im having a spot of bother with the trailers you get with the basic set and the addon packs The basic set 8 car set (10-1297) comes with two power cars and 6 trailers (2x Standard Motor, 2x Standard class and 2x first class brake), fair enough. But its the 4 trailer pack (10-1298) that is the problem since the pack comes with two standard class trailers, the buffet car and a first class trailer. Meaning that if i were to buy 4 backs, i would end up with 2x power cars, 2X standard Motors, 8x standard trailers, 4x buffet cars, 4x first class trailers and 2x first class brakes, meaning i end up with two spare buffet trailers left over. Does or did Kato ever release altered 4 coach packs or single coaches to help aid those aiming for a full 20 coach (18 coach if you dont count the power cars)?

I think its just a standard Bachmann track/rerailer connector

In that case, it might be easier to just rewire the controller that comes with it to be able to connect to Hornby track power clips

if that is the case, what could be done to remove the chip?
