How much weight do the coaches have to them - they look very light
About 100g according to the scales we have for measuring flour

So the massive capacitor in the window made it to the production models then!
Seems like it! Although, i dont really mind as the tint on the windows hide it somewhat

Just waiting patiently for my 7-car to arrive now.
Thats if it ever arrives, wouldn't be surprised if it gets pushed back to spring 2022

There is a comment on the railnuts Facebook page that their apt set is one of only 3 in the country. Presumably the rest are on a slow boat from China!
the joke has no doubt been done already but maybe they're on Ever Given
unrelated, but Ever Given has docked in Felixstowe

Seems like the coaches have interior lighting..... they look like cool white LEDs whilst the driving cars seem to have warm white. Though I am not sure if the seating arrangement and colour of the interior has anything to do with this.looks like the DTS's seating has a red-ish colour while the TBF has a blue-ish colour seats. Thats might be why it appears only the DTS's interior lights are working

So, the seven car pack is now slated for an August release, the five car is still listed as a July release

Not wanting to derail the thread but the recent announcement on Hornby price rises is concerning, more so with expensive sets like this. 10% on a 7 car set is a couple coaches elsewhere. Sincerely hoping the price increase doesn't apply to this model or if it does it's considerably less than 10%. I've ordered through Hornby.com since I was late and that was the only place with reliable stock as far as I could tell so hoping they honour the current price.
If Hornby is correct and the 5 and 7 car packs release before the end of the month, the 10% price rise wouldn't apply since that comes in on the 31st

That’s why Dan rang Hornby, in response to the first post about July. It looks like someone gave out the July info at Hornby but Dan’s is the latest official response and just read the amount of changes on the coming soon list in other threads on the W1’s and Pecketts. It’s a pretty pointless list recently as the dates are bouncing around like an accident in a rubber ball factory.
by Dan, are you refering to me or someone else called Dan?

Has anybody seen or heard any more about release dates? Are we really 4 or 5 weeks away from an APT?
Well, when i rang Hornby to confirm it was allocated to me, the lady on the phone said end of July for the train pack and End of September for the trailers

That is good news but I feel they are being brave by telling you that. Lots can go wrong which is beyond their control:
A ship could block the Suez canal..
Some paperwork could be wrong which causes containers to go to the wrong place.
Workers in a container port could be put in conditions which causes them to go on strike.
These are some of the reasons companies prefer not to be open with expected arrival times.
Lets be fair, you cant really predict that something will happen
-
right, just got off the phone to Hornby and all the items have been allocated to me, and according to the lady on the phone, the main set is due to release end of July and the coaches at the end of September
