  1. Hello, A few running shots from last night, sorry bout the quality, for some reason my camara work wasn't at is best, Dave.
  2. Hello, As I've already stated I may have misunderstood what I read and then made on my original statement, but I agree that there were other classes that had all its members in corporate livery for a short time. But I think the 47s hold the title when it comes to time and number of in corporate livery. I would love nothing more than to see British Rail bought back and see the old liverys reapplied. There is something appealing about the corporate and sector liverys that today's operating liverys just don't have. Dave.
  3. Hello, Ok, I'm not disagreeing with you completely, but I would refer you to www.class47.co.uk, its listed under regional railways. When it comes to matters of class 47s I'm more inclined to believe the information it presents. Dave.
  4. Hello, this will help.... www.ftgmodels.co.uk Dave
  5. Excellent, Thank you very much. That answers that question.
  6. Hello, Can someone please help me, I have question reference British Rails Class 37 672. I have been making up the blazey set of 37s from donor Bachmann RfD models. I currently have made up 37670 and 37672. 37671 is sold as is. I've recently just noticed that the decals on the to be released kernow models, version has unique decals, as I've now realised this seems to have been the actual case for the real 37672. I've been trying to find pictures of this particular loco, but to no avail. (I don't have a flicker account either, so maybe creating one may help, who knows) A long way asking a question I know but here is the question... Does the loco have the same decal error on both sides or just on the one side, I cannot find any useful pictures of this loco anywhere. Any pictures or links too, both a n b side of the real (or well modelled) loco would be much appreciated. On a separate note... Does anyone know where too look for or may be selling oo gauge Bachmann Class 37 split head code nose ends (modern type). I did have 37049 but the nose ends were used in a separate project and i would really like to find a set of nose ends to put back on the body as is the only BR blue 37 i had. I will happily pay for them at a reasonable cost, plus postage. Please private mail me if you have some going. I have put this picture to give you an idea of the type I'm after. Thanks for looking and hopefully you may be able to help. Dave.
  7. Hello, You know what, I suspect your right. Here is the statement I got my fact from, I may have misinterpreted it. My bad. "Chosen as the standard Corporate blue livery, and was eventually applied to all 508 47's surviving beyond 1972, being the only livery to be carried by the extant Class 47 fleet at any one time" Taken from www.class47.co.uk.
  8. Hello mate, Been busy the last couple of days, lots happening. How are you. Hope Alls well. I'll send you my email before I forget again. I also managed to get hold of another nse 08 body if that helps. Speak soon mate. Dave.
  9. Hey mate, they do look good. Youve done a great job weathering them up. Shame about that glue. Speak soon soon mate. Dave
  10. Hello, That's very unfortunate. Crazy to think that plastic can react to a bit of sunlight so badly Looks like the effects of global warming are reaching everywhere. Happy new year and good luck luck with your rebuilding efforts. Dave.
  11. Hey Neil, I like what you've done to your oaa wagons. Have you used the same method you used for you departmental wagons on Banks road, or with a file. Dave.
  12. Hello Simon As always, great updates. Happy new year and may it be a good one. Regards, Dave.
  13. For the sake of being pedantic, I know there were originally 512 Brush type 4s. But, the point I was trying to make is that the class 47 (not 57s, which wasn't the question anyway) is the only class to have had all its remaining members in the same livery at the same time. If you mean 47s didn't carry the above liverys, your wrong 47 475 carried regional railways livery, and 47 145 carried Railfreight General when first applied. There were also several 47s that carried EWS colours the most obvious is Windor Caslte. Dave
  14. Sorry if this has already been answered, but i think it's safe to say the only livery I can think of the 47s haven't been in is Rail Freight Coal. The class has had just about every livery you can think of put on it at some point. Just as a side note, it's the only class to have had all 508 members carry BR blue at the same time with no other liverys being applied to the class till large logo was introduced. Dave.
  15. Hello, Glad to see you back, layout and stock are looking great. Dave.
  16. Some more, Res livery 47479 and 47474. Track 29 and Sir Roland Hill respectively. RfD 47145 Merridin Emrys, 47289, 47317 Wiilesden Yard.
  17. Here are some pictures from my visit the other night,
  18. PS i don't know what it is or does but it looks cool and it was cheap.....
  19. Hey mate, hows it going. I bought this Plasser machine for £34 from the modellers mecca stand, the actual shop isn't that far from where i live either. Not a bad shop to be fair.
  20. Brilliant job mate. they do look smart. Can't wait to see 37s
