Think the Yorkshire Tea advert with the caller put on hold and the Kaiser Chiefs playing live is brilliant.

Convert it to a LNER / BR J11/3. Vivien Thompson did an article converting a Airfix 4F in i think Model Trains late 70's early 80's for her son Richard

  13. Whilst in the queue at the Post Office this morning, I was extremely irritated by a couple of young kids and their mother in front of me. The kids were playing with various items of stock from the shelves and could easily have damaged items and the mother was only half-heartedly and generally ineffectually requesting that they desist. No discipline.

  14. kitchen window observation of the day: it was nice of DRS to paint one of the 20's in BR blue but not good of GBRF to paint the name plate on a 66 in yellow so you cant read it from over 50ft away

  20. Feeling inspired after visiting RailEx NE yesterday

  21. Plenty of inspiration at Railex NE today. Quality show and South Pelaw Junc, Blackgill and Fencehouses took most of my viewing time up. Overall layout standard superb; it seems unfair to choose a favourite from a whole field of winners but SPJ gets my ‘Best in Show’. Well earned.
