  1. You are a saint @tomparryharry! Thanks so much, you don't know how relieved I am
  2. Just tried to order the Huntley and Palmers but the last one sold 5 minuets ago. Its going to be a long week...
  3. Hi, Just want to give my ten cents and say how grateful I am for you to model this line. I live on Portland, next to Weymouth and visit the line a lot. This week the road surface is currently being relaid but the tramway is going to stay in situ. I plan on having my life long layout to be building Weymouth Quay, the entire harbour stretch up to the town bridge. If you need any photos for prototypes i'm happy to go out and photograph for you, been using my dslr a lot for it! Thanks and good luck! James
  4. You can't make the quarrry branch behind the station as thats all town...although you could make it that the Easton branch closed to passengers but light weight diesels get stone from there as perryfield quarry's located there.
  5. Hi, I live on Portland, and happy that someone is modelling it. My question is why Portland? Yes it is if it stayed past 1965 but i wouldn't imagine a oil depot and diesel depot on this small island, since at weymouth its good enough yard. Also, the layout doesn't show the continuation to Easton, if i am thinking this right that this version or portland is based where the old one used to be next to victoria square. It seems like its completely your idea and just have used the name Portland for the layout. Im not trying to be rude, please don't read it that way, as i said im happy that someone is modelling it. But in places it confuses me.
  6. Do you still have the sentinel shunter? havent sen it for a while and really liked it. what happened to the pantograph loco? also, your platforms are Hornby. what glue did you use to put them together, and what filler? and the name of the platform colour? lastly, how do you keep your layout and locos from dust? sorry for all the questions but has been on my mind
  7. I have been researching about Weymouth Station so much lately, and have found a really good picture which I think will be useful to you Richard
