  1. Brilliant idea to model this, and also to include the quarry and wire works. Please provide updates on your progress.
  2. What specifically are your criticisms? Besides the poor lighting and the results of a cel-phone camera?
  3. And it's here! East coast USA. The packaging is very good, as it was with the GT1. The quality of paint finish is even better - it doesn't seem to have the very slight "orange peal" that the top surfaces of the GT1 did. (At least mine, does.) The springs for the main axles are molded as part of the frame and both are all gloss - maybe a bit more relief would be nice - but I'm nitpicking. Initial take is that it is a very nice model indeed. I should be able to run it in this weekend... given the weight and "adhesive weight" it should have no difficulty pulling any load. In the meantime it can sit above my desk and weigh on me as I work the rest of the week away.
  4. Got my shipping notification today from KR Canada Post. And it's the only thing I can think I've ordered from CA. So fingers crossed it'll be here in a few days - though who knows with US Customs....
  5. Thank you @zr2498 that was exactly it. F1 was cab lights. On the included spec sheet for sound it is F19. Ergo this is a regular DCC chip. Thanks!
  6. Received my DCC Sound GT3 recently - my first DCC fitted loco. Fabulous looker. Lights and motion work as expected, and reset the loco address - but I can't get any of the sound functions to... sound. Anyone have experience with one of these on a Digitrax controller? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  7. Bought it and will build it for the kids, if not for the railway (which is for me, lets face it!)
