  1. Hello there! I've worked a little bit recently: here are the photos. It's the small office for he coal and fuel dealer.
  2. Just a little work. From two months, I'm working on a narrow gauge 1:24 new project. I've started to make a house
  3. That's very good! I like the idea of this well known name on the cab!
  4. they make enough racket between them growling around the layout!!! Ha, ha, ha: that's right. They have a "Caterpillar diesel" sound track included from Roco
  5. I find Zis Zery good and Ze way oV writing is funny!
  6. Ray, I like very much your kitbashed Walthers structures.
  7. A 4' x 1' micro layout or an Inglenook concept in O scale, with a Beep can be an interesting addition to your layout Jordan. It can be a"connected industry" to your existent layout. A 4'x1' can have a high level of detail because of it's small size. And this 4'x1' can be a nice layout for exhibitions. That gives me ideas........
  8. Yes it is a lot of work and you have to be careful the posts stay always vertical all the time the glue is drying. I remember to have make that several times in HO and N scale. It can be a nightmare to do.
  9. Thank you Dan (and F-UnitMad), I'm glad and proud he makes nice modeling. I learnt him a part (the basics) and he develops himself how to do. I think he has the sense for the weathering and for the scenery. He is patient. So that's good. Here are photos of his work for scenery and just beside, you can see the new module. The layout is growing! We have decided to put off the bridge at the end of the module to widen the view. I made the woodwork, tracklaying and the electricity (often it's only a 2 wires difficulty). And I let my son to do the scenery. His choice! He loves!
  10. I need to add all the bolts and nuts to this metal grain bin before to paint it. Anyway, I've built another bin, in wood that time. Yes another one, to justify the future large trafic of grain cars on the layout. The base is made from an old card calendar. I used 4 mm x 4 mm wooden strips and stirrers.
  11. I've saw and adapted this building to the spare space we have on the layout. The Conrail semi truck is an old Athearn kit built and weathered by my son.
  12. I've glue some parts of a Walthers kit. My son has painted them with my advice.
  13. More... I've built the grain bin using a piece of cardboard (0,5 mm thick), foamboard to keep the card in shape. The corrugation are made with fine white "one sided cardboard".
  14. I model US trains from the 90's. I model narrow gauge trains and french trains too. From time to time I change from a theme to another one. That's the reason I disappear from here from time to time. And later I come back... My younger son (14 years old) is a great enthusiast with HO mid 80's US trains. He gives me a lot of motivation to model with him.
  15. Back to the grain elevator. At the origin, I had built only one classic elevator but I had to hide the brackets. After some time spent to find photos on the web, I've the idea to build a grain bin onto the brackets. The problem: the brackets. The added grain bin onto the brackets: I'll show you how I've built it. Stay tuned...
  16. A little update: I've began to make a fuel dealer for my son's layout: I'm not sure we keep the steam pump house beside.
  17. I've decided to enlarge the grain storage adding 2 grain bins. So this little shed becomes the coal and fuel dealer's office.
  18. Yes mdvle we are interested. Thank you to inform us. ;)
