  1. Hey Jim, Do you know when the NMT or 67 pair will visit London in July on a test train? Or is that more down to the day. Ben.
  2. Yeah thanks for the info bud, wasn't too sure on any of it, haven't really been following HS2
  3. Not sure if its been raised before, haventhad time to read up on HS2, but will it be built to berne gauge(i think it is?) like HS1 with a logical connection to HS1 for ongoing freight up england?
  4. By constructing the likes of Acton mainline, you could get some nice results. If you build say, the two platforms closest to Acton T.C. and model the entrance, there is plenty action with anything from a 66 to a 60,56 and even 70's in DB,Colas,Freightliner and the odd DRS machine, and even DCRail. Then there is the range of liveries on the 59's which can be picked up cheap from Hornby and depending on the size of the layout, copuld both look the part with simple touch up's and even have the haulage capabilities. This should help save some money for the rolling stock and scenery. I will be going there this summer to get footage for my YT so if you want any pictures yet again I'm happy to help. Ben
  5. On the NLL, a good point is raised, of course you can run the full station which is near 8 foot and with modellers license you can always narrow the plan, keeping the goblin lines straight instead of curving off. Hampstead heath is compact, its a 5 car platform so that is rather compact. Also at Willesden jct high level you can always move the station slightly further north and link up the wcml-nll lines to the station. Edit* and if you need any pictures of the prototype, I live in London so any pictures you need I can source.
  6. I think this shows it better. Ben Thanks mate, this is my first proper layout so it wont be the best, but its something for me. Ben
  7. I agree, but when I played around with the track slightly to remove the flexi-track curves and replace with set tracks, the crossover didn't fit before the original points, so they have been moved up with the crossovers just before the station. Ben
  8. Since i included the intermodal yard, i have done some work on the layout to reduce it in soze slightly, Not sure if this is for the best and i would like your opinions on this, but the C.S. has been incorporated into an extension of the line into the TMD and intermodal yard, where freight and passneger tains can reside. Also reduced the station and yard in size because of the extra capacity by the intermodal yard, is this better or should i retain the higher capacity. Also, what is the best coupling system to use for DC/DCC as I want o run sme enterprise trains and wagonload from the continent. What is recommended? Ben
  9. If I had the ability to get past the bogies, I would lol! My scratchbuilding skills aren't strong atm so will, practise, but if you announce any other wagons I will more than likely have a shot. Ben
  10. Looks great, is 67026 a repaint or are you the lucky owner of one of the ltd ed ones? Ben
  11. Are any wagons there worth the consideration for 00 gauge as I am just after some continental wagons that bled in with 00, not to fussed on where they came from or where they are used, just something to add variety to the british wagons.
  12. Just thought I would comment that Hornby international has both slab sided and curved polybulk look alikes, continent based, not sure if of use but here are the links: https://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/shop/brands/rivarossi-h0-1-87/rivarossi-wagons.html https://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/shop/brands/jouef-h0-1-87/coaches-and-wagons.html https://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/shop/brands/electrotren-h0-1-87/electrotren-coaches-and-wagons/page/2.html?
  13. So I see, any pictures of the layout?, even if it is barebones just being boards and track... Ben edit-addition to original message
  14. Thanks for the clarification Jim, didnt really understand why 1 37 would do the job alone. Ben
  15. I appreciate the clarification a lot. Can't wait for the 92's to drop and I want 4 DJM ones, 2 crowdfunded and 2 from Stockists, if you take more time, that gives me longer to save up, which is always positive! Ben
  16. I think we should remember that we are getting exclusive livery combinations that wont be repeated by Dave, and that he's a one man company, and he cant juggle the world in one hand. Cant wait for these 92's though, they will look the part on my upcoming layout. I'm rather surprised Hornby haven't made a TTS 92 yet if I'm honest? Ben
  17. This is final, with the TMD now being accesible from both ends, and trains being able to be held in the loop/siding. Ben
  18. Cheers yet again for your input, I'm glad the new plan is improved and will finalise these last few bits, yet again thanks for the input.
  19. Here is the revised version, slightly higher track count and i think its rather chanced, is this better? Ben
  20. Morning, I would like to start off by saying flexitrack is used in places, just on SCARM it doesn't show its product code when its placed into shape. I will definitely look into the pointwork and spacing as the layout stands at 12x8 currently, I will definitely look at the way the track has been spaced out and I appreciate your opinion, just what I was after as I was unsure of the pointwork. Also I do like your idea of the station being inbetween the mainline and stopping tracks, it just didn't flow when I designed it at first. Thanks for your comments. I will start the redesign soon. *Edit- passenger trains will be taken off when not used, its not designed to have all stock on at the same time, but I may build some carriage sidings.* Ben
  21. More than likely a GBRf, Eurotunnel or Caledonian Sleeper 92 on the cars from Garston going to Dagenham, I would expect to see the 88's on the Daventry-Purfleet Tesco flows aswell. I would say that electric hauled freight will displace the masses of 66's on that line now.
