Bachmann class 108 DMU power issues
Darius43 replied to Hunslet 102's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
Have you checked that the “dog bone” (the small plastic shaft that connects the motor to the gearbox of the motor bogie) is still engaged. If it has become dislodged or missing then the wheels won’t turn. Cheers Darius -

The right colour sequence, quick drying paint and careful masking. - Cab front first: Halfords white primer followed by a couple of light coats of Halfords Mustard Yellow. Leave for two hours. - Mask the cab with paper barrier pieces to minimise masking tape (Tamiya) contact with the yellow. - Airbrush the roof with thinned Humbrol Matt 106. - Wait an hour then spray with Army Painter Matt Varnish. - Mask the roof (previous cab masking stays in place)and the inside of the cab (to guard for overspray) then airbrush thinned Phoenix Rail Blue enamel to the sides and ends. Cheers Darius

Coach doors scribed in. Cast cabs and rear ends fixed in place. I’ll let the glue cure overnight. Much filling and sanding awaits… Cheers Darius

Next on the bench is this MTK version of the BR Derby Lightweight Ultrasonic Test Train. I already have a set of Railtec decals for it. Spot the use of press studs in the test wheel assembly mouldings. Cheers Darius
