  1. Peops added and light weathering of chassis to finish 😀 Cheers Darius
  2. The Bankes Arms in Corfe Castle is a great place to have lunch and a few beverages whilst enjoying a day out on the Swanage Railway. There is a good view of both the castle and the railway from the beer garden. Cheers Darius
  3. I know it’s the wrong loco and livery for 1973 but the BR logo is also reversed on the loco… Cheers Darius
  4. Coach numbers and other decals applied. Cheers Darius
  5. Final interior fitted. Coach/unit numbering and other decals next 😀 Cheers Darius
  6. Yes - once the coach body is on you really have to look hard to see the upholstery. Still there is the satisfaction to be had knowing that it is “there”. I’ve also found this method to be quicker, easier and neater than painting the seats. It’s also a lot less messy. Cheers Darius
  7. Whole interior airbrushed a wood panelling colour - plus a coat of acrylic varnish (Klear). Home made upholstery decal sheet cut to fit the seats. And applied to each seat. Armrests painted to match. Tabletops painted a lighter wood colour. Almost complete - still need to paint the floor. Floor painted. Cheers Darius
  8. I created larger fabric panels in MS Paint using swatches from the web and printed them on to white decal paper, sealing with spray on matt varnish. The seat upholstery was cut out of the larger decal and applied as a “traditional” waterslide decal. I painted the seat armrests with enamel paint (red and white) mixed to match, as far as possible, the fabric colour. I will show this process in the next post. Cheers Darius
  9. Interior for the second DMBSO completed - found the seats 😀 Cheers Darius
  10. Interior fitted. Now I just need to find some more seats to do the other DMBSO. I know I’ve got some somewhere… Cheers Darius
  11. For some reason this thread reminds me of an episode of Frasier called “The Two Hundredth”. Cheers Darius
  12. Interior painted and upholstered. Cheers Darius
  13. I take it then that you will be “shunning” these locomotives when they become available due to the diabolical removable roof panels. Cheers Darius
  14. DMBSO interior constructed. Cheers Darius
  15. Interior painted, floored and upholstered. Fixed to coach chassis. Cheers Darius
  16. Buffet/Griddle car interior constructed from plasticard and modified aftermarket seats (from a job lot bought from eBay). Cheers Darius
  17. Hi Bernard, that’s so much better than Colin’s sketch. Thanks so much. Cheers Darius
  18. Corridor connections fitted. Cheers Darius
  19. Nice work Andy. Phoenix Precision supply etched cab side widows for both SR and BR EPB units. Cheers Darius
  20. Do you normally use butanone to glue unpainted C&L chairs to plywood sleepers? I ask because I didn’t think butanone would work with wood, but I’ve never tried so maybe it does. Cheers Darius
  21. Composite coach interior painted and installed. Cheers Darius
  22. Torrington Heritage Railway Fabrics is also a useful reference site. Cheers Darius
  23. Your search is much appreciated. This is the sketch of the Griddle car layout - presumably by Colin - provided with the kit. Cheers Darius
  24. Composite coach interior cut and shut from spare rtr compartment interiors left over from previous coach conversions. Cheers Darius
