Have you checked that the “dog bone” (the small plastic shaft that connects the motor to the gearbox of the motor bogie) is still engaged.
If it has become dislodged or missing then the wheels won’t turn.

Looking really good already, although it beats me how you managed to get three different colours applied in a matter of hours. Especially since one of them is yellow......!
The right colour sequence, quick drying paint and careful masking.- Cab front first: Halfords white primer followed by a couple of light coats of Halfords Mustard Yellow. Leave for two hours.
- Mask the cab with paper barrier pieces to minimise masking tape (Tamiya) contact with the yellow.
- Airbrush the roof with thinned Humbrol Matt 106.
- Wait an hour then spray with Army Painter Matt Varnish.
- Mask the roof (previous cab masking stays in place)and the inside of the cab (to guard for overspray) then airbrush thinned Phoenix Rail Blue enamel to the sides and ends.

I recon he started building these a couple of years ago… Darius just drops them in ever couple of days just to give the impression that it’s all happening now.
Sorry bit of cheek from me….. Your ability is fantastic and all your models look excellent I just wish I could achieve the same.
Keith
Drat. You’ve uncovered my cunning plan.

I'm sort of glad you've partially hidden this peculiarly unsettling sight under the trailer........every time I looked at it I kept thinking "exploded steam loco boiler" 😲! [Shudder!!]
It looks to me like some kind of steampunk catapult.Cheers

Could I, with the greatest of respect for your superb treatment of these ancient kits, suggest a little more attention to the solebar / bufferbeam interface of the leading car?

So with respect to the original topic, just to recap:-
- WCRC has now provided rake(s) of MK2 coaches with CDL fitted for the Jacobite trains.
- These trains are unheated.
- The steam loco they use has broken down at least once.
Is this an accurate summary?
