Whilst undoubtedly good news and still early days, is there an intention to continue to invite specialist societies as occured with the Warley event?
For full disclosure I am both the Exhibition Stand Organiser for the Signalling Record Society and a member of Warley MRC.
We'll need to start the foundations with the big building blocks of layouts and trade then move towards societies and demonstrators in due course.

What? The team? 😁 Probably one or two less than needed.
The show? Roughly what folk will be used to seeing.
There's a lot to sort but if we'd tried to get most of that done before a full announcement it would have been the worst kept secret in the hobby so, as things were only confirmed 48 hours ago, we've just gone for giving the where and when whilst we get down to it all.

Thank you; the phone's been buzzing all afternoon with 100% positivity from the trade over a national showcase event for the hobby continuing.
Lots of work to do now within the team!

Otherwise their is a more frequent regular bus or two on the lhs, uselful if you are an official Grumpy Old Git with a free bus pass. I think (but check) 55 is one of them, and possibly stand A3 or A4 - I've always thought those numbers are significant, but do check.
Looking at the bus maps it seems to be the 66 which you'd need to get from Frenchagate and get off on the last stop on Town Moor Ave before the bus turns NE into Sandringham Rd.
It's then 400m to the racecourse entrance.

Fake news; I can see people in short sleeves - can't be Doncaster in February.

The white hard standing to the right is mostly Hospital park and Ride and can be fenced off.
To the best of my knowledge I've never seen any grumbles about the amount of car park provision over the years.

They need a bit more red on the Baguley-Drewry plate!
Ripe for an etched replacement...
The image was of one of the livery samples. The issue of the red paint density on the plate had already been identified and the factory notified for the production run.

The Car Park opposite is going to be fun and it's still raining in Retford and is due to all day.
75%+ of the car park is hardstanding so it shouldn't be an issue for the majority.

i have no idea why the uploader is choosing to flip the image over, its the right way up on my phone
It's not choosing to do that; you're using your Apple device the wrong way round. Take pictures with the button to the right.

they are millions in debt but ripping off their customer isn't going to get them far.
This is the sort of immature and naive comment I expect to see on Facebook. How is a business ripping anyone off if they are in debt and not making large profits?
Pack in the inflammatory statements please.

Good news though, the Shopify issue is resolved and all Uk orders will be imported tomorrow morning.
Happy to report that my (next) little green AB seems to have teleported through the wormhole successfully now; either that or it's created a parallel universe as it's still in the Widnes pre-orders. Just to ensure that there was no likelihood of being charged at that end due to any system issue I cancelled the order on the Hattons side (confirmation email received too) now I'm happy it's appeared on Accurascale's system.

Well you picked the prices of the models before Bachmann was taken over.
They weren't taken over but the apocalypse to which you refer was around 11/12 years ago now when the Chinese government mandated businesses to increase their labour rates (akin to minimum wage in the RoW) which involved a reassessment within Kader of the labour apportioned to each division and products as, evidentially, Bachmann Europe as a subsidiary weren't being charged for all of the elements involved in the cost make-up leading to what was perceived as significant increases. As an example, some products from before that time such as the autoballasters then became unviable to accurately price given the retail distribution model.

The two functions shouldn't be connected but will have arisen as a consequence of the update. However, my notifications have still worked.
I have run a cache clearance on the server to see if that cures the issue for you. It may be worth logging out and back in again if it persists.

Surely then quartering the traffic to the site and making it less appealing to advertisers?
Four quarters is the same as one whole; I like to think I'm aware of aware of our traffic levels and trends. Normally I can predict* our peaks and troughs through the course of the year based on events, the weather and which way the wind is blowing.
*Apart from pandemic surges and Armageddon week last month.

Normal people would just look through the windows; or do you think they've included fare-dodgers in the lav?
