  1. I photograhed Ramillies in Riverside Yard on 22-12-90,in company with Howe,Barham and St. Vincent. 50019 was still in pretty sparkling condition after it's repaint a few months prior.Unable to post pics unfortunately. An Accurascale 50019 in Laira blue would be very acceptable...
  2. Have Radio 2 with Tony Blackburn on and,it has to be said,he's playing some fine tunes. Am today continuing with some projects that have stalled, due to lack of motivation. Am aiming to finish,or as close as poss, two Replica Railways Mk. 1 FO's,despite my limited painting/applying lining transfers skills, and doing some minor roof mods to a Bachmann BG.Then it will be back to roof mods on some of my Dapol 22's. Nothing very skilled or earth-shattering,but quite relaxing, hopefully leading to more projects coming to fruition in 2023,which is my aim.I may even start a layout... Happy New Year, Neil
  3. I worked twenty Christmases for a major drinks firm, where for the whole of December we had to more or less sell our souls to the company. No time off allowed in December, and the hours were whatever it took to get the job done. Looking back now I can laugh,at the outbursts of temper amongst colleagues, customers sometimes screaming at us for getting things wrong, and the sheer hard work involved.I think we all secretly enjoyed it... Christmas is ok if you take it for what it is.And how grateful I am that,at the age of around six,my parents bought me a Triang train set, which introduced me to this fab interest, both models and the real thing. Happy Xmas all, Neil.

Visits to Willesden always started in the same way :"Could we look around the depot please?" "Where are you lads from?" "Greenford" we replied. "Be careful, don't touch anything and let us know when you've finished" was the standard instruction, and we were never refused access. We always managed to get around OOC too. Carefree days, and now fifty years ago... Neil
