  1. At least you're not using a phone...
  2. Why bother with Win 10?I never got on with it...
  3. There is a 7th preserved Class 40 - 318,which was being restored at Tyseley the last I heard.
  4. My Pacer is probably about the same age as yours. It was also weathered by a previous owner - and very well, too.
  5. Spent the past while catching up - great stuff, had to click the like button a few times.Noticed the Pacer - just had to,I've had one since early 2016.Also own a Bagnall (purchased June 2016) plus 31256 looked familiar...my brother has one like that but with a Lima chassis. The body being Hornby means the word 'Limby' has a whole new meaning... PS keep it up.

I hope that was an OLD Argos catalogue you chopped up...
  7. Hang on a minute,I thought I said that first...
  8. OK Andy,since you asked,the GCR DMU is a 101 - never seen one in action,must try to(fat chance!!!).Only seen 107/108/117/122 in action.And to answer tigerburnie's question,that was THE Battery-Electric Multiple Unit.How did I know all this?Magazines and Wikipedia...
  9. Nice one, that 108.I went on a real one (in green!!!) at the Dean Forest Railway in August '17 - must remember to drink more water next time,I got a headache...
  10. Keeping the cat out is easy - just shut the door,so unless your feline is ridiculously clever...
  11. That'll get you a tidy bit of cash
  12. After grappling with lazy Internet (supposedly high-speed) I got the first bit of action at Minehead.Auto-train anyone?
  13. Point 1 - try and ignore your kids, just once. Point 2 - keep the cat out of the model railway room.My brother keeps his layout in his bedroom, and our cats are forbidden to enter bedrooms - but they do try (naughty paws!)
  14. YouTube video reminds me of some cycling I did in the Bristol area in spring 2016...yes,I have cycled through Staple Hill Tunnel!
  15. Checked out that Goathland cam, interesting angle.
  16. That would have been GWR 150.I know that predates me but I've read about it. No reference to Tornado but certain elements, not least its age, have probably put it in this position. PS really ought to be watching the webcam...
  17. After posting the DMU yesterday I got a couple more grabs: 12:20 pm: look at all those people! (shows Tornado is famous haha!) Letting off steam: And WHEN will we ever be able to travel behind Tornado without prebooking?I've never known it to happen before.I also wonder if the world's 3 most famous locomotives list reads as follows: Flying Scotsman Mallard Tornado That's what I think anyway...
  18. Can anyone enlighten me as to what's going on here?
  19. I see you have a Deltic. My brother has one just like that - it used to drink loads of oil and the wheels used to be dirt magnets but he gave it a huge service 2yrs or so ago and since then it's been as good as impeccable. You might want to service yours, especially if it hasn't done anything for 2 DECADES...
  20. OLD!!!???You call me OLD?I'm only 16! BTW things could be warming up later in the week - they already are down my way.
  21. So much snow at Crowcombe Heathfield you can't even see the rails: Looks like a disused line...
