  1. Yes correct and viewing the photo's from 2018 onwards WCRC 33025 does have one end tail lights plated over (non-fan end) & the other end tail lights are not plated over (fan end)...would be interesting to know if Heljan have replicated this?
  2. So the Gaugemaster Collection models are also sold via other retailers?...apologies but not sure on this as I haven't purchased GC models before.
  3. That was a crap response Mick, very condescending and completely taken out of context and have included Danny's OP so people can see what he actually said which has nothing do with explicitly reducing the price so you can buy 2 Class 86's, what Danny stated and what you highlighted was just an example based on prototypical formations and how much it would cost if you chose to do this and not a call to Gaugemaster/Heljan to reduce the price so you can buy two. To also have a dig at his historical posts is just poor form overall. So what is c: then?..come on just say it.
  4. Have they got the tooling correct on the cab ends?...can't really tell from the promo pictures as they show only one end but have noticed with photos on Flickr that one end has the tail lights plated over & the other end they are still present? Maybe someone can shed some light on this?
  5. Just visited Olivia's website and yes they do have an Exclusive Edition D6515 due January 2021. At £159 they better have the colour corrected and would be criminal if it comes out in white instead of cream again. Also Preserved D6515...https://www.oliviastrains.com/trains/mt/Heljan/Heljan-class-33/Heljan-3451-class-33-0-d6515-lt-jenny-lewis-rn-as-preserved/
  6. Then good luck to them, they won't get get any sales from me at those prices for DCC Ready and if it means I'm priced out of purchasing Heljan locomotives then so be it.
  7. Yeah but I've never witnessed anything quite like this, the most is probably around £180 but £229.95 is the ultimate p*ss take.
  8. Yeah totally agree. I meant up to £80 off the price but realistically I would expect these loco's to be priced no more than £180 RRP too be honest, to me this would be an unprecedented jump in DCC Ready price for a new tooled loco and personally no matter how much I would like 47815 I simply would not buy it @£229.95. I mean seriously Hattons released their brand new Class 66 DCC Ready @£150 only recently so to speak (ignore the issues) and you look at Accurascale's loco pricing thus this Gaugemaster pricing doesn't make any sense.
  9. Dear Lord I hope not, that would be sales suicide barring a few stupid enough to pay that price.
  10. Seriously it must be a mistake, if not they'll be lucky to sell more than 10 at that price.
  11. I'm glad Gaugemaster have commissioned a current day Class 47 as in 47815 which I would purchase if at least 80 quid is taken off the asking price, otherwise forget it.
  12. Ummm as per Heljan Class 86 thread what is going on with Gaugemaster's pricing...again £229.95 for the DCC Ready loco???
  13. I had to rub my eyes and look for DCC Sound incl. being mentioned somewhere but no they are actually £229.95 for 8 PIn DCC Ready (its actually 21 Pin) Heljan Class 86, are they are having a massive laugh or am I missing something here?
  14. I was going to say I'm glad Accurascale are also thinking about the old folk...and yes not for me as well
  15. Ok both 70's packed & dispatched to Barwell for service/repair, decided to get the FL 70 repaired and I'll wear the costs but the Colas 70 will be done under warranty. Luckily I only paid £113 for the FL 70 that has completely failed and will only cost £48 to repair which includes the service charge & motor replacement (if it is the motor) thus why I decided to get Bachmann to do it which isn't too bad. Finally, like to give a shout out to the Bachmann Service Department/Service Manager for their top communication & service and really good to deal with answering questions and providing guidance.
  16. Yes but I did say if its still within the product warranty period of the manufacturer but should have included that you must have the original purchase receipt provided to you by the seller (which I do for my FL 70) if it wasn't a direct retailer purchase by you. I think that is fair too be honest if you have the original receipt which proves the product is still within warranty even though it has changed hands during that period but to put the shutters up because you didn't buy direct from a retailer is a bit off IMO. I will check all the other manufacturers product warranty conditions because I'm curious whether they all stipulate the same thing?
  17. Yes exactly what I will be doing in regards to Bachmann products but personally I think product warranties should be transferable within the specified warranty period especially with model railway products as they constantly change hands at least 1 step from the original retail purchase.
  18. Yeah agree but just weighing up my options in either getting it fixed or selling it but no rush to make that decision and probably will end up keeping it and paying the money to fix it sometime next year.
  19. Yeah I can imagine. Anyway I'll probably end up sending it to Bachmann for repair and just wear the costs or stick it on eBay as a loco for spare parts and get a Hattons Class 66 Freightliner instead next year sometime.
  20. Yeah it doesn't run anymore, dead as a dodo. Also Bachmann should add to their instruction sheet in regards to taking the body off with..."after removing those 4 screws deep in the body (btw you'll never get them back in) you'll find taking the body off nigh on impossible and if you do without breaking anything you are a genius thus 'Good luck with that!"...what a flippin nightmare taking the body off. Anyway everything inside just looks normal including the pickups and the lights at both ends come on which isn't surprising but it just doesn't run...goneski.
  21. Lol my Freightliner 70 officially died after running for 30mins in a very labored manner...oh well luckily I only own have two of them.
  22. Would be interesting if Bachmann would honor the product warranty if you purchased the loco from a retailer selling it on eBay???
  23. Yeah totally agree, the following line I feel will catch a lot of people off guard like myself if not already so beware. "This Warranty is only available to the original retail purchaser of this product and is non-transferable"...directly from their Product Warranty page https://service.Bachmann.co.uk/warranty-information/ and I also had this confirmed by the Bachmann Service Manager hence they won't look at it under warranty even with the original receipt supplied and it being within 12 month warranty period. Like I said I don't agree with that condition and if I knew that previously then there is no way I would have purchased a Bachmann loco from a non-retailer but a harsh lesson has been learned. Actually I need to go check all the other manufacturers Product Warranty conditions to see if they all say the same thing. Anyway, no I haven't removed the body yet but will try over the weekend to take a closer look and fiddle around but don't like my chances because the loco/motor performance is so poor and it sounds like it is literally dying.
  24. Ok that was a lessoned learned. My Freightliner 70 (the really bad one) will not be going to Bachmann for warranty repair because basically it isn't covered by their Terms & Conditions since I purchased it from an eBay seller (non-retailer), albeit new but who knows, and not directly from a retailer but luckily my Colas 70 was purchased directly from Hattons thus that one will be repaired under warranty. Personally I don't agree with that policy because it is still under warranty regardless who has it or where they got it from considering I was supplied with the original purchase receipt by the seller but yeah got my fingers burned on this one and will reconsider where I purchase loco's in the future especially if it is a Bachmann one, more than likely stick with direct retailers which I do anyway 95% of the time with locomotives. Some time in the future the Freightliner 70 will be my guinea pig for repair or motor replacement when I get around to it...will be a steep learning curve but no rush.
