  6. I have built some drawing pin buffers recently they are very affective. Ian G
  7. I looked at mine some time ago, the only way i thought to improve them is with an etch add on kit, then you can have an articulated bogie, with possible rotating bearings. cut out the spring detail or 3D the bogie side frame and etch the rest. Your thoughts on this Pete Harvey? Ian G

  13. My next wagon build is an ABS ex LMS 40t bogie bolster, I have lost the instructions so the build is by drawings and photos, I have only found one with a vac pipe on the outside as I want to produce a later model. The bogies in the kit are a bit fiddly so I have opted for some from MMP.
  14. Brian In your vast collection of photos do you have any ex warflats with a vacuum pipe on the outside convered to other uses? Ian G
  15. Nice kit I think a real wooden deck would be good, as for the tyres many can be found on the military modelling websites. Ian G

  18. David, information from our bridge engineers is that the foot bridge had a steel deck, with anti slip coating, this is what they remember before the foot bridge was replace with the pile of muck that stands there now. Ian G

  20. I have many wagons to complete many in primer/painted, recently I purchased a few sets from Railtec, these are the best waterslide transfers I have used since Scale Model Transfers some years ago. 1st on the list is a 7mm Croc Ian G
  21. Both are from Tamiya, the 6 pounder I found in Trinder Brothers in Banbury the other month, with all theses fancy weathering products around I wanted to try something new. Ian G
  22. I have been working on a few items these last few months. A SR 25t Brake van along with an unfitted LMS van, both to be in freight grey, I have been dabbling in 1/35 military kits every now and then, I needed to build some thing small for a diorama. just a little Bren gun carrier & a 6 Pounder gun Ian G
  23. Both wagons finished a very big learning curve for the wood effect but i think I got it right. Ian G

  25. Along with a big learning curve painting wood effect on wagons, Slaters MR 5 plank as my test bed, using acrylics. base and 2 browns with a bit of maskol, then some darkish greys tonight. Ian G
