  1. Nice to see you out of hibernation Ossy! The 5" is looking grand in those pics' and the 32mm looks well sited where it is, and at least its fully off the ground most of the way around judging by the way you have it set up on those sticks. Those interlocking blocks of O.R.'s sound ideal for the raised bits Ossy, and should be easy to lay for you.
  2. Here comes the Summer. The Undertones.
  3. Holidays in the Sun. SeX pIsTOls.
  4. One Two Three. The Professionals.
  5. Thought it was the right time to make a quick posting, its not easy on this thread most of the time trying to keep up with the current subject So here's my Chopper! My Dad and his rocker mates were bikers in the '50's & '60's period and he put me off having/riding a motorbike for life with his gruesome tales of accidents he'd seen, mostly on the race track at Oulton park, Cheshire. Good job has i often ran my Raleigh Chopper into the back of stuff...mainly ice-cream vans whilst chasing them for free broken cornet crumbs.
  6. It really do'snt matter anymore. Buddy Holly.
  7. I did see Brian Dominic at Butterley a few times but i'm not sure if he knew him that well O.R. There was talk by NM of him raising his garden line up a bit, and i'm sure he would have posted the progress here, but he was also getting very involved with the five inch gauge ride on stuff the last time i saw and spoke to him.
  8. Another from the Festy the other week, i don't know who the owd chap was!
  9. Ffestiniog t'other week. Another really steamy pic' please....keep it railway related!
  10. Thanks once again CME. I soaked them in woodwork pva glue to harden them off and they have curled up a bit, they should stick down ok with some weight on 'em Here the two pieces are roughly in position, note i got rid of the brick arches and boarded them up instead
  11. Did my eyes and fingers in last eve' cutting these cardboard cobbles out.
  12. An 08 shunter was pulling a large wagon up the old Tyldesley line under Taylors Ln last week, they must have been using it to clear the rubbish away, is the bridge under Warrington Rd. going to be dug out again i wonder? I noticed all the leaves coming back out on the self seeding spreading tree's Great pics' Apollo.....you've got a big one! Lens that is Shame about all those new yuppy houses being built there, i do hope they like and get used to all the new noises The wall.
  13. I was always welcomed and was signed in as a guest of NM's who was a member at Butterley on all my visits there. Not sure if membership of the 16mm Association is a free pass in? Thing is its a two way thing and theres nowt we can do but wait if nobody wants to talk. Hopefully the gossip grapevine will bring results? Only one old forum member caused the troubles and he's tried to come acting the clever/funny guy on here, he'll know whats going on, but since his first posting on here he has'nt been back since.
  14. I used to try and book all the 'Merrymaker' trips from Atherton Central or Daisy Hill stations, always guaranteed you'd get some weird and wonderful diesel haulage and we always had a choice of where to get off, on the Bristol trip we could have carried on to Bath behind a 33, and on that same trip we had double headed 25's all the way from Birmingham. On a Scottish trip (Out & back behind 40019) we could choose Ayr or Dunoon. Another trips choices were Margate or Ramsgate. They were very cheep days out and a real bargain for the distances travelled. We'll never see those days again DerekEm8!
  15. Brand New Cadillac. Vince Taylor & the Playboys.
  16. Only done a few bits and pieces this last week or so but i'm getting there a bit at a time, i made some cappings for all the walls out of thick card which were cut and scored to show mortar lines etc, the rear stone walls and steps have been roughly painted up, i made two under arch shed type fronts which are roughly knocked up and painted and not stuck in at the mo', i got some S.R. concrete single panel fencing at the recent 7mm show which i've altered to resemble modern concrete panel fencing, some thick card has been stuck down around the shed and other places to form the concreted base/paved areas.
  17. Way down yonder in New Orleans. Freddy Cannon.
  18. He'll have contacts who prowl on here off other forums who'll know exactly whats happening with him, and another good member and friend on here 'Idris' of the Dragons friendly has also vanished without a word. I agree O.R. we've all had some really bad times over the last few years and all seemingly at the same time, i really thought helping and sharing with each other through them would be good for us all O.R. I know it helped me to chat and discuss stuff with like minded folks and friends on here. So please just let us have a word or two off anybody to say they are both OK and i'll be chuffed to bits....you are muched missed and we do care about you whatever you may think!
  19. Anybody know if NM Greg' is still around? Was supposed to be a good mate but i have'nt heard anything for well over several months now, i would really like to return a few items i had borrowed at least even if for some reason he do'snt want to know us anymore! So if anybody knows if he still alive and lives at the same address i 'd be thankful then i can send the stuff back. Cheers
