European legislation used to govern how many imported parts could go into things made in the EU. I worked for a Japanese car manufacturer as a maintenance engineer, at that time over 80 percent of the components were from the EU, very little came from Japan. No idea if that legislation has been replaced yet or not.

My late brother had his knees replaced and apart from not being able to kneel he got on really well with his. I have a knee with next to no cartilage left(I have had keyhole surgery so have seen the damage done), but I am watching this new tech where they intend(where applicable) to just fit a new synthetic cartilage rather than the whole knee.

We were discussing his scroteness though not his guilt of crimes of terror and official secrets acts offences.

He wasn't an alleged one, he was a tried and convicted one....................................allegedly........................................ though court case for his alleged terror offences isn't until November

The doctors and nurses were the worst for making unnecessary noise at night, it didn't quieten down until around 2.00 am when they all got their heads down for a sleep

During the past 18 mons or so with three trips to the hospital for three different things, I have to say the treatment from the NHS has been marvellous, but(there usually is one) recovery in a hospital is impossible, too noisy for a start and as for getting any feed back from biopsies etc, even harder to get. I rang my GP, who had heard nothing either, but they told me if you want results, ring the ward you were in, a nurse will find you a doctor, who then looks at the screen in front of them and you get all the info you want. Marvelouos service, but the paperwork is non existant up 'ere, which in the big scheme of things is kinda the right way round really.

Well there's an "R" in the month so it means I start having the occasional dram of an evening, I usually go to a distillery to buy something not found in the shops, or to a specialist to get something a bit out of the ordinary. As my local Malt distilleries are shut on a Sunday a trip over the hills into deepest darkest Aberdeenshire beckons.
