Maybe an air rifle/pellet rifle instead?
  2. Since when has that stopped anyone before?????
  3. Well, I just got back from an Irish Wake for a lady from our church, true Irish it was: She will be missed.
  4. But when Air Vice Marshall Hunt flew his F-4 into the scene??
  5. I am whipped, I just finished harvesting the hay er, mowing the lawn; all acre and a half or so. Luckily I have this: EDIT: The hard part (for me, anyway) is getting the ambition to get on it and start. Once on and doing the job, it is sort of fun. Note that it is capable of about 10 MPH flat out on relatively level ground. When I first got it, I could not resist staying in one place with one arm all the way to the front and one arm all the way to the rear. It will actually rotate about it center axis leaving a circular cut in the grass. With the arms out as in the photo, the transmission is locked and it will not move; also one has to be seated to get it to move; It can be started with out being seated as for maintenance or idling. Two safety devices that are very easy to co-operate with. Note that the brand is HUSTLER and the model RAPTOR LIMITED.
  6. Plus, the bus needed washing anyway!
  7. Don't feel bad, the very first high-powered rifle that I had to fire was the M-1 Garand!
  8. So am I. Ever dropped anything down in the bowl? There used to be a termite treatment product (named chlordane) that, after injecting into the ground at the foundation was good for thirty-plus years. It was banned in 1988 as harmful to health; whatever has replaced it for termite control barely lasts about five years.
  9. The two above posts reminded me of an event that a friend and I would attend (with our respective buses) called "Bus Bash". It was held in various parts of the the NE U. S. once or twice a year. There was no real organization, just an announcement of a day and location. No one knew who or what buses would show up until they got there. It was always an interesting event. I remember one that I (TDH5301-0157 ex Cleveland "Fishbowl"#679 seen on here somewhere above) and George (TDH-5105 ex-Baltimore #1912 now owned by WMATA and used in a couple of US Presidential Inauguration parades!!) drove our buses up to (in northeastern Pennsylvania somewhere) and as we were driving along the state highway, I happened to look to the left and there were the other buses! This was long before Google streetview or the internet; paper maps only! We found a safe place to loop our buses and returned to the site. I later heard about the facial expressions on some folks faces as we went roaring by! Fun times were had by all. As the old crooner said: "Thanks for the memories.".
  10. I guess that my SP SD40T-2 would not work there?
  11. Polecats (skunks) can make decent pets and will have the scent glands removed along with neutering.
  12. My gosh, that "thing" is sooo uuugly!! (The train, not the Union Jack) Hey, at least it has a stiff upper lip!
