  1. Keep your money in your pocket !!! If you can, check out Legoman's HST sound for yourself, at a show, as soon as you are able to. You will impressed beyond belief, and you won't believe your ears. Then see just how fast your wallet suddenly appears, as if by magic !!! *usual disclaimers etc Hope you get sorted soon.
  2. Hi. Good luck with your 1st DCC project. It is well worth giving Charlie @ DC Kits a call, as I'm sure that he will be able to advise you as to the correct choice & size of speaker. He stocks a vast range, and from my own experience, he will only sell you what you really need, and is a pleasure to deal with. Best regards, Paul
  3. Treemendous !!! Should look great when it's all finished. Looking forward to seeing the end result. Cheers.
  4. Is this what they mean by "Less is More" ? Lol
  5. What on earth have these comments got to do with re-tooling DMU's ??? This is a forum about Railway modelling & not "Top of the Pops"
  6. This is looking really good Shaun, very realistic and captures the atmosphere well. Craftsmanship at work !!!
  7. " Y I Pet" or should that be "Y I Petty" Regards, Mi Duck
  8. You are quite correct.Hanging on to it is a bit of a problem for Charlie. At a show, I once saw him drop an old pound coin, and it hit him on the back of his neck, before it even had chance to hit the floor !!!
  9. The Picture Pride display cases are the best around in my humble opinion. They have given me years of hassle & DUST free operation, and have never faded, nor fallen apart. I'm sure that if you give Ron or his lovely wife a call and explain your requirements, they would be sure to provide your cabinet as soon as possible. They really are very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. No connection etc, other than a very happy customer indeed. Your Blue Pullman would look stunning, mounted on lengths of track in a wall mounted display case. Cheers, Paul
  10. I don't know if it's me or not, but that photograph certainly looks very lifelike indeed and captures the scene nicely. I love the way that the lights are reflecting off the rails. Looking forward to seeing the layout when the ballasting is completed. Regards,Paul
  11. Andy, I can see the logical step with the 25 chassis etc. I'm only just getting into Blue & grey diesels, having been a totally Modern image modeller up until now. Wishful thinking I guess for a superbly detailed, correct height body & bogie etc class 40. In my opinion, I'm sure that in time, Sutton Loco Works could turn their hand to any class of locomotive and the finished article would surely be amazing. I'll start saving the "Pennies" towards my share of the 300K. Regards, Paul
  12. Thanks Nick, Love your layout by the way. (Actually seen it in the flesh) so to speak. Never say Never about the class 40 or 45 I'm always an optimist. Happy modelling, cheers Paul
  13. I personally would love to see Sutton Locomotive Works produce a detailed model of either a class 40 or class 45. Imagine all of that superb detail and a speaker in the roof grill as well as one in the fuel tanks. I'm sure that would look and sound heavenly. Any thoughts ??? Paul.
  14. Food For Thought : Potential models As seen on the streets & roads of Great Britain on a daily basis Remember the bright yellow Corona Soft Drinks, Commer Karriers and the famous Mr Softee or Mr Whippy ice cream vans. Something a bit different from memories of the past ???
  15. Next he'll be wearing a Flat cap & Slippers before you know it !!! Bless him
  16. Sorry to hear about your recent issues with your model. In my experience,I'm sure that when given information about your situation,Charlie & Arran's professionalism and passion for quality, as well as good old fashioned customer service would be clear for all to see. They really do strive for perfection. (General disclaimer : I have no connection with Realtrack, other than being a very satisfied customer)
  17. Thanks for the keeping the lines of communication open Alan. If we are made aware of any difficulties, I'm sure the vast majority of modellers will understand and be patient and work with you. Keep up with the good work so far, and very much looking forward to your new releases. Best regards, Paul.
  18. Hi Shaun. Drabford is coming along nicely, and the retaining walls will look brilliant when completed. Won't be long before it's ready for the Exhibition circuit !!! Cheers & thanks for posting your updates.
  19. That's excellent progress Arran. Well done for bringing this project to market so soon. Looking forward to ordering a selection of these super detailed containers and seeing them in the flesh & on the layout. Best regards, Paul
  20. Hi Shaun, Drabford is certainly making Good progress. The road bridge & retaining walls will look stunning when they are finished. Won't be long before it's ready to go on the exhibition circuit. Cheers, Paul.
  21. If Charlie has developed a quadruple personality as he says, then I'm going to try phoning and asking all 4 of them for a 25% discount and hopefully get something for FREE. You never know ??? Although there is more chance of World Peace, than there is of that happening,as he has been associating with Arran for far to long !!! Best regards to Charlie & the gang.
  22. Excellent quality video's. The layout is coming along nicely, will watch with interest. Cheers, Paul
