Final weathering once transfers on, then load and do I put the tarpaulins on, if so, why did I paint the interior then!!!

Sounds like a variation of Schrödinger's cat, but in this instance, you would have the comfort of knowing that they're 'as they should be'!

Perhaps not the answer you require but you may be able to buy Southeastern Finecast whitemetal P class steps from Squires,

Could you fabricate a front guard iron from a piece of scrap brass fret ?

Thank you, John - appreciate the suggestion (and yes, will resort to some 'proper' modelling should the need arise)!

  3. Would be grateful if anyone can assist with the following spares for the Hattons P Class: -

    - Front iron (nearside) x1

    - Large step x1

    - Rear iron x1

Understandably not part of the standard accessories pack and Hattons have since confirmed they no longer hold P Class spares!

    Many thanks.

If I've read this correctly, it's worth noting that 940009 No 30004 is 'as preserved' - as per @Graham_Muz's overview, it is modelled with freighter breaks, however the Bluebell Railway discovered that the original No 30004 was built with the Morton-type - as the PBA kept no record of the original numbers, a "suitable" number was chosen after purchase from Bristol in 1980...

    Release Schedule Update

    Updated: Tues 10th May 2022

We have had an update from our factory about our eagerly anticipated Genesis coaches.

Due to the high quality of the printing and the number of prints on each coach, it has taken longer than expected to complete this stage. We have worked as hard as possible to lessen the impact of this but we do not want to reduce the quality of the product at all. This has meant that the coaches will be delayed and will now leave the factory on the following dates...

  6. I can only echo all of the above, a really great show - thank you to all involved.  As @Invicta Informant suggests, it did feel that the footfall was comparable to previous (especially at the time of my visit, just after opening).

On a separate note - would anyone be able to provide a contact detail for Harvey Hobbies (#38), please?  Unfortunately no further info in the show guide and have been unable to locate them online...

I'm inclined to agree. My view, which is simply that, is that the end result of both the Dapol and the Hornby Terriers is that neither are as good as intended or as they could have been. Perhaps this is a direct consequence of rushing development following each others repective announcements ?

    Seconded.

At the risk of topic drift, the Dapol variant just edges it for me on looks - think it captures the 'character' better?  Not a very scientific conclusion, I know...

    First - cloning

This allows you to pick up a colour from one part of the picture and paint it onto another area.

use it a lot for sky where say a piece is missing so I can infill

or in this case to repair the flaked paint on the track...

    Second - Blemish Removal Tool

Removes small imperfections from a picture.

Like a piece of dust/flick, place the circle over it ensuring large enough so the surrounding colour is the main one and click enter and the dot disappears as the Infinity magic works out the surrounding colour and paints it to match...

I use a similar tool on Adobe Lightroom - time consuming, but worth the effort - as demonstrated by your 'before and after'...  Hairs are the worst to edit, especially when a strand appears infront of both light and dark backgrounds!

Each to their own though - some layouts appear in print which would really benefit from at least a good dust down before!

I know I said I wasn't going to post a list of the models without a release date, but I got curious as to when the models were announced so here is that list. Those in bold are new tooling.

    OO - 2019

37-937 3 Plank Wagon LMS Grey [WL]

I wasn't sure it worth starting a new topic for something which could likely be quickly answered!  Would anyone be able to confirm that 37-937 is of Diagram 1927, please?

To my eyes, the Bluebell Railway's 474588 is the same type (hence suggesting Diagram 1927): -

Now where would the fun be in that? :wink_mini:

Caught by our local train spotter friends the nucleus of the permanent way train passes by.

The crane and match truck will not formally form part of this formation but can be called upon when required.

Prairie 4550 has the honours today with more wagons on their way over the next few weeks...

One of those trainspotters must have been very well informed to be in the right place at the right time...

Pictures on the KMRC website are looking good, @Graham_Muz - looking forward to the 'formal' update.

For those that have also pre-ordered SB003C (DS 54538) I found the following, which might be of interest: -

For me, certainly one of the best 'ready to run' items available...

In hindsight, wish I'd also pre-ordered SB003F (S54663 on the Bluebell) - one of three now sold-out.
