  1. I was going to wait for GT7, but when i was able to get one pre-ordered from Argos, i couldn't resist. A 4K TV is next on my list, hopefully before Christmas. I wont be breaking the bank for it as it is only for the PS5. The 32" full HD Hannspree i'm using at the minute is still good after almost 10 years use, but I might as well upgrade the whole setup. I'm looking at a 43" Hisense which can do 60fps for £299 and according to reviews is excellent for the price.
  2. My extra Dualsense arrived this morning. Can't wait to get the PS5 up and running next Thursday.
  3. As a Villa fan I welcome yesterdays freak result. I couldn't quite believe the updates on Google during the game and when watching the highlights on Match Of The Day, part of me still expected us to lose.
  4. I'm giving serious consideration to the MG ZS ev when it comes time to change next year. Has anyone here had any experience with one? I'm two years into my experience with the Ioniq hybrid and I think I'm ready to go full EV.
  5. A more recent one, Massive Wagons' ode to curry from their new album.
  6. Already?? I managed to get mine ordered at 10.30. I did have a slight moment of worry when it seemed to be taking a while to go through, but I have my confirmation email.
  7. I told myself I wasn't going to get my PS5 until Gran Turismo 7 was released, but when I got a notification that Argos pre-orders had gone live this morning I crumbled. Roll on Nov 19th!
  8. So, Coleraine's adventure in Europe has come to an end after defeat to Motherwell on penalties. When we went in at half time 2-0 down I feared a hammering from the full time team, but a spirited 2nd half performance saw us get back into the game and force extra time and then a penalty shootout. The Motherwell keeper, Trevor Carson made 3 great saves to give them the win. Still immensely proud of what we achieved to get through to this round. Onwards and upwards.
  9. It looked very good going round in dainty circles last night.
  10. Its a pity I haven't been able to go to the Showgrounds to watch the games, but, BBC Sport Northern Ireland have shown both of Coleraine's games live on the App and website. With any luck, the Motherwell game will be shown live too.
  11. Coleraine drawn at home to Motherwell in the next Europa league qualifying round. Hopefully another upset is on the cards.
  12. Coleraine march on in Europe Travelled to Slovenia as rank outsiders against Maribor and came away with a monumental win on penalties. C'MON THE BANNSIDERS!!
  13. I've had 2 messages left on my phone this week using a computer generated voice and purporting to be from Agent Dennis Green of HM (pronounced hmm by the voice) Revenue and Customs. Apparently I'm in very serious trouble and either I or my appointed legal representative should call back immediately to avoid serious consequences. The only Dennis Green I've ever heard of is the former Minnesota Vikings head coach, and although as a Vikes fan I would love to chat with him, I don't think the number I was to call is his.
  14. Villa are my English team, so I'm over the moon that they stayed up, but for me the real match that matters is my home town club, Coleraine playing Derby rivals Ballymena Utd in the Irish Cup semi final tomorrow afternoon. We won the league Cup back in February (and finished second in the truncated league) so the possibility of a cup double is very much on. C'MON THE BANNSIDERS!!
  15. Bunch of strange little fellas in blue dungarees have trouble finding a suitable employer.
  16. I saw reports that Battlefield 1 was having a bit of a resurgence, due to players being dissatisfied with Battlefield 5, so I reinstalled it yesterday. I had a quick go this morning and was happy to find that the quickmatch conquest map I jumped into was well populated, so it will be getting a bit of a hammering over the weekend.
  17. I've been to the Steam Whistle brewery and done the tour. It is indeed a top notch pilsner.
  18. Gaming related proud dad moment for me today. My son has been involved in the e-sports scene for several years now, first playing COD competitively online and at LAN events, then starting and running several teams (Devious and Mythos being the last two) and more recently he has been getting into writing about the scene. Today saw the release of a new, digital format gaming magazine and he has had two features published in it. They are the ones by Matt Dixon covering E-sports in 2020 and the rise of FIFA. https://www.level-one.co.uk/issueone/?fbclid=IwAR0Q0qp1gWvysYkDPKMLfeLTN7hFKYcmwhRKQd0gc8IfS7SILSXuqWds_kg I hope that link worked. I'm reallly happy that he has gotten into this, even though i'm not sure how it came about. He had no real interest in creative writing at school and at Uni he was doing a computer science degree before changing to a business management degree when realised progamming wasn't for him. I know when he leaves Uni after he finishes next year his ulitmate job would involve e-sports in some capacity. Anyway, i'm feeling really proud of him today, and if anyone is involved in the scene and has come across FozZii before, that's ma boy.
  19. We normally have aircraft heading for the City Of Derry airport heading over our house as it's on the approach route (Ryanair 737 and Loganair SAAB / Embraer), but the skies have been empty since lockdown. The only thing i've seen is an RAF Globemaster fly over, pretty low on a northerly heading a few weeks ago. I was surprised to hear a jet engine and even more so when it appeared over the house.
  20. That sounds very similar to the way my wife described me.
  21. I'm not a medical professional but my in own experience with sertraline I did experience a degree of emotional blunting and detachment. It did help a lot with my depression to begin with, but in the end it was causing problems of it's own. I was glad to get off it and was pointed towards 5-HTP as a natural aid by a friend who works in counselling. I've been taking it for over a year now with positive results.
  22. I usually just go to Savers or Superdrug and buy one of the Gillette permanent "offer" packs with a Mach 3 handle and 12 blade cartridges for £20. They seem to last me for ages, which reminds me, I need to get a new pack.
  23. This is from their new album, which comes out in July. Can't wait.
