Hi all, With the Bachmann Post Office Red Mk1 Sorting Van due next week (https://railsofsheffield.com/products/35062/Bachmann-39-421b-oo-gauge-br-mk1-pos-post-office-sorting-van-post-office-red-with-nets) I'm tempted to create a steam-hauled postal train, however, I'm not sure of formations etc. The POS seems to be in the same livery as the TPOs at the GCR, however, I see Bachmann also has an Era Five TPO https://railsofsheffield.com/products/35063/Bachmann-39-422-oo-gauge-br-mk1-pos-post-office-sorting-van-royal-mail-travelling-post-office which is in a different (later?) livery. Were trains formed with carriages in both liveries, please? And I take it a TPO had to run with a POS? Also, in terms of formations, would I be right in thinking two or three POS, plus a TPO and Maroon BG would look 'right'? Or would a GUV be required too? I don't have an era/region in mind for the train - I have locos from the big four and BR, plus a few locos are as preserved, I'd like to run a train that looks vaguely correct. Cheers!

I have the Hornby version and it seems to be fine, so maybe I was lucky! Might take a punt on an OR model since they seem to be very cheap.

Would I be right in thinking the Hornby and Oxford Rails Adam Radials use the same motor, please? I have a DC layout and would be interested in double-heading them if they run well together.

There was a 'closing down' sale on the eBay store and I nabbed a few (new) bargains. I've messaged him a couple of times asking for a tracking code, but have not had a reply. I'd been meaning to get hold of a rake of maroon Mk1s so £12 a pop for some works well for me. Having missed out on the Rails discounted 80135 a few months ago, I figured £87 isn't too bad, nor is £79 for 61310. And here I was thinking I'd save up my modelling money for Warley...

Hello all, Over the last few months, I've bought 10 or so of Dapol's wagons - mainly the Burnham Model Club limited editions - and while the models are nicely finished, the couplings are - quite frankly - terrible. I've lost count of how many hooks have been dragged off and lost and they can't go a single lap of my track without something uncoupling from the rest of the rake, which uses the older bars. Most wagons now have at least one hook missing which only magnifies the problem at hand. It's getting to the point where I (a) don't run any Dapol wagons in the rake or (b) get fed up very quickly, neither of which is ideal. They tend to come uncoupled when travelling down a slight slope and/or over an uncoupling rail. I understand they have been built on the cheap, but I wonder if anyone has any solutions? Are there any couplings that will fit in the slots that might actually do the job? The rest of my stock runs fine on my layout on the whole and I have too much stock to convert to the likes of magnets etc - I'd just like the Dapol wagons to actually couple up and remain coupled. Any reason why 37055 has been delayed and delayed? It was meant to be released last month and last I heard from my local model shop (in Devon) it was due in December.

Still nothing. I left a voicemail pretty much as soon as I placed the order, but I haven't heard back. I'm sure all is OK as I've ordered from Locomotion several times; just a bit irritating that emails don't seem to come through.

As did I. Did anyone else not get a confirmation email? I'm using Hotmail if it makes any difference, and yes I have checked my junk and spam folders...
