Hi Everyone, some images of the progress so far. Really enjoying the build. Learning and making mistakes and learning how to back out of the mistakes! Cheers Tim

Thanks Ade, I really loved doing these, and the ones on the grain van. I was thinking that these probably could have been cast white metal but they are so rewarding to make. I often listen to podcasts when I model and I've been listening to the BBC series 13 Minutes to the Moon. The first series was about the Apollo 11 mission, and the latest is about Apollo13. I find myself making excuses to listen to another episode which is great for the modelling. Thanks for the comments cheers Tim

Dillmouth - desirable and achievable
Aldgate Box Boy replied to O-Gauge-Phil's topic in 7mm+ modelling
Thanks Phil, very nice. I asked as they remind me of Westinghouse 'B' style levers see picture. This was a very rare route locking lever from Baker Street (MB) Met box. I agree about the feel of mechanical locking. Electro-mechanical locking even more so. thanks for the info. Cheers Tim -

Another new arrival In an attempt to support my local model shop I purchased a Dapol JInty. DC £145 which I couldn't resist. When I started Green Leaf I thought I would maybe get two locos and that would be the end of it. Any way the plan is the brewery has bought the loco from BR and plans to repaint in in to Green Leaf livery. The DCC chip, speaker and stay alive are on the way. Cheers Tim

Hi All, hope you are keeping busy and safe. I've been working on the van. I've prepped quite a bit and yesterday laminated the hinges on the sides of the van. Cheers Tim

Hi all using the time at home to start a new kit, a Connoisseur 8 Ton Refrigerator Van. It will be used by the brewery for their yeast traffic. Cheers Tim

Hi all, I decided to top coat the van in Precision Paints Br freight grey - I have usually just kept with the Halfords rattle can grey. There is quite a difference. Next job is the transfers. Cheers Tim

Thanks Ade, I may leave it like that. I have the authentic BR goods grey but as one of the guys at the club said grey is grey. Cheers Tim

Hi All, more progress over the weekend with the Grain Hopper. The most visible thing is the wheels are now on. I tried to buy another one at Kettering but they weren't taking cards. Anyway not too much more to do now. Cheers Tim

Hi all, quite a bit of progress with the grain van over the weekend, roof detail done and ladders and buffers. There were some roof detail which I cut out and prepared but they were so small I could hardly see them so I left them off. cheers Tim
