  1. No problem Felix, let me know if you have any issues finding them. All the best, Matthew
  2. Also, here is a link to an old map I found online showing the complete old line, just go south of Steyning and you should see the cement works, then follow the 2 tiny dots with the main pylons. https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/517500/111500/10/101322
  3. Here is that line: This is it looking west from the B2135 around halfway between Steyning and Partridge Green. Looking east. On the top left corner you may see some radio masts, that is Devils Dyke and just beyond there is the cement works and where the old pylons were. Here is where they meet the L3's outside Steyning. And here is where they continue along following the River Adur until they terminate near Bramber. However those terminal towers to the left might actually be their new terminus as the imagery is out of date. You can also see the cement works chimney in the far distance over to the right, that's where the line was. All the best, Matthew
  4. Yeah they are odd indeed, there is another line of them just outside Steyning nearby to here. They appear to terminate near a substation containing an L3 DT on a line to Bolney. I’ll attach some photos later. all the best, Matthew
  5. Hi Everyone, I have been doing some research of the Shoreham area around the cement works and it did have its own feeder line from the power station. The last bit of the line was removed around 2011 but it had a very strange design. I think it must be a pre-grid design that ran on either 33 or 66kv. I'll attach some pics of it from google streetview: This is them marching down towards the cement works. Then at the base of the hill they made a turn towards the cement works. They then terminated just outside the cement works. All the best, Matthew
  6. Have any European class 66's ever visited the UK?

  7. Ooh nice! I shall have to get one for my model railway methinks... Yeah I need one! All the best, Matthew
  8. Has there been any news or pictures of the new L13s that have emerged?
  9. Yeah I noticed it too, I shall wait as well methinks. I just put it out there as an option.
  10. For anyone wanting a Malcolm 90 Olivia's Trains have done a respray of it: https://www.oliviastrains.com/trains/mt/Bachmann-diesel/Bachmann-class-90-25kv-ac-overhead-locomotives-2/Bachmann-class-90-90024-in-malcolm-rail-livery/
  11. What paints are required for freightliner triple grey and since when did class 90050 get rounded buffers??

  12. Hi Paul, thanks for clarifying. It is strange to be honest, but some would say we live in a strange world lol. Yeah it is 33kv. It's quite a nice design I think but I haven't seen them anywhere else. All the best, Matthew
  13. Now that is nice! I really like them! Isn’t there also a steel version of this polon as I’m pretty sure there’s a couple near Royston. Also, do you know what these are, they are part of a line that ran to the now abandoned Shoreham Cement Works but it has been severed in 3 places as they rusted too much. All the best, Matthew
  14. Hi all, looking for some spare door steps and a buffer as mine have fallen off my coach and I can’t find them
  15. I have had a reply from Oxford Rail about the Virgin Mk3s. They are due this year but there isn't a release date.
  16. I thought the same too lol. They are further up the line from the former inverking power station. It’s the northern most line. all the best, Matthew
  17. I just found some nicely tucked away L9s up in Scotland on a JL EVE L6 line
  18. Have you checked the light switches on the roof?
  19. Just found this abandoned substation near the A1081 and M1 at Luton. It leads to some L4's which probably came about when the A1081 opened judging by the road layout (looks to be a typical 1970's dual carriageway) and then leads to a PL1 D60 and then a PL1 DT just by Luton Airport Parkway station
  20. Yep that's them. I did know the tower code for them but I have forgotten. I will find out and put it here. All the best, Matthew Edit: I cant find the tower code anymore but they are a part of a Northern Ireland interconnector which is quite interesting.
  21. Yep as Felix said definitely L34s. I believe there is a similar design up in Scotland, but that has a different classification number. All the best, Matthew
  22. Happy Christmas everyone!!!

  23. Ah ok thanks I stand corrected. So why were lines built with both the BICC and ERE variants? all the best, Matthew
  24. I believe they are just a mix and match of different L6s (probably the only ones available at the time). all the best, Matthew
