  1. Ooh this is nice! May have to get it methinks!
  2. Looking amazing as always Jerry! Definitely excited to see them weathered!
  3. That is possible, I think Pete over at PH Designs has done it in the past before and he said that when I enquired about it he said I was the first person to ask for that in a long time and I need to wait until current situations are over. I know someone else who would quite like a few of these grilles.
  4. I have done some photoshopping on a pylon and created a possible idea for a repurposed PL16 DDT. The idea comes from the fact that the line is being rerouted and extended to a new location (eg a new Gas Power Plant) and is fed from an existing substation to a new line of L4Ms. The DDT would be connected to the L4Ms and therefore no longer needs its extended top crossarms for the substation so they are shortened. I had a play around with some plans from the tower bible and a real image to create what I think could happen.
  5. That would be the first step, but then you would need to possibly change the grille as 002 still has its GA style one. The actual horn grille itself is white instead of yellow and it has LED lights which are certainly different to the old halogen ones. I’d say it’s possible that they could be made as a collectors club model
  6. I wouldn’t say their future is uncertain, Mk3s are being put into ICS, 82139 has received ICS, and 002 tested it. I’ve also read somewhere that a tour or two is booked later on this year with the a proper Mk3 rake all in ICS.
  7. I am considering doing that! However I would need to redo the lighting on it. I may just wait and see what will happen regarding new releases.
  8. Indeed! I may have to model both 90001 and 90002 now! I hope they name 001 after it’s service with Greater Anglia, “Greater Anglian” maybe? I may start building an LSL fleet...
  9. I have noticed that 90001 has had its horn grille replaced with the original one. That may explain why 002 has been doing all the tests recently. Now I’d quite like a model of one of these!
  10. Ahhh ok that makes more sense! Many thanks for the info! How come the LSL repaints of the class 90s do have them then? Is it just required these days?
  11. Many thanks for that! I may see it getting mine weathered to how I can see it in the pictures then! Cheers Matthew
  12. I’m looking at 90005 and the pictures which came up on Flickr in 1998 don’t show any OHLE flashes on it. A quick google to show some other 90s in the same era with IC Swallow also don’t show them. Cheers Matthew
  13. Many thanks for the suggestions! I have noticed that there’s no OHLE warning flashes on it. Was this normal? cheers, Matthew
  14. Does anyone have any good photos of IC Swallow class 90s after privatisation as I am looking to update mine to suit this period?
  15. Hmmm I may need to backdate my eras slightly so I can have one of these! It’d be nice to get the older models and see how much they have improved! (I’m not fussed about the issues I just want a detailed 86 in the liveries the original batch had)
  16. Does anyone have any close up images of any PL7 DD2s as I am looking into building one?
  17. The ex GA 90s are so far the only ones fitted with LEDs, all the rest are the originals
  18. I’ve also noticed the fonts of the numbers between 014 and 044 are different too, but then again there’s a few differences between them, the horn grilles and lights come to mind
  19. The article also states the 86s will be overhauled and return to service!
  20. LNER have confirmed which 91s are staying and which are going, the ones staying will be: 91101/105-107/109-111/114/127 and 130. With 91119 due for withdrawal in September Heres a couple of shots of 91119 I got over the last week:
  21. L6M D40EC, there were 3 of them on this pretty much L6M only line!
  22. Ooo so it does! I hope 001 retains its Crown Point nameplates in honour of their service on the GEML. Definitely want a model of it though!
  23. Now those are nice! I think there's a small line of them at Bury St Edmunds too. All the best, Matthew
  24. These are some fantastic models there! I had to look again to see that these were scratchbuilt, but even then I couldn't tell! You have done an amazing job!!
