    No. I'm actually on about Double Decker. It certainly featured in one of their ad campaigns - namely "Nothing fills a hole like a Double Decker" during the early 90s.

    Berkham Church has just arrived too. Got it for a tenner off Facebook. It's dedicated to Edward the Confessor and is heavily rebuilt to the point that very little of the original medieval church remains.

    Thankfully I got to know my great grandfather very well. He lived with my grandparents during his later years, and died in 2005 at the ripe old age of 95 (I was 13 at the time.) He was a platelayer for the LNER during WW2, and was the man who got me into trains. My No.5 Geoffrey Lake is named after him.

    I assume that's meant to say "them", in which case you and I are some of the lucky ones then to have known at least one of our great-grandparents.

    It is. He didn't live there long though; he moved to Feltwell when he was a few months old then lived there until he and my mum got married in 1989.

    You'd be lucky Sophia. I only got one with the doors still intact thanks to @BlueLightning finding it for me. Most of the ones I've seen have either the bottom door/ramp missing or all of them missing.

    I get that mate. (Really nice talking to you again btw, most of my modelling discussion recently has been on @BlueLightning's Discord) But I for one personally come on here to escape the things in the "Real World" that stress me out. You know me James, I'm nothing if not brutally honest. Pop (my great-grandad) was the same. Preach it sister!

    Some more stuff for Berkham. The other platform is done, along with the water tower and coal platform, and the cattle dock. Also picked up a Matchbox Super Kings Scammel K-J2 for the Works.

    The horsebox is now a nice olive green to match the express Mk1s. Grey roof with silver pipes and black ends.
