  1. Fair. Reminds me, you still need to send me that M&GN A Class.
  2. I'd hope so, he paints this kind of thing for a living! Joking aside, he's just doing these as something to do when he's bored. As such they'll pop in as and when he finishes them.
  3. After nearly a year with no updates, here is what's happened on the KLR layout over the past year: Berkham Station has begun construction in earnest. Big props to my best friend Jake Read, who came up with a simple but effective track plan after I spent months smacking my head against a brick wall about it. Sometimes all you need is a layman's viewpoint. The main line and the Alnerwick Quarry branch are really taking shape, with assistance from the first of many back scenes painted by my Dad, a professional landscape artist. And the Quay at Hewe is now totally finished, with the river now poured. Very happy indeed with it. The pig field is finished and now has pigs in it, thus finishing every board up to Hewe Quay.
  4. Those are incredible! And they look great with that W1! That is utterly adorable. Like a tinplate approximation of a Crystal Palace tank, I love it. And that's just kind of odd. What the heck is the huge disc?
  5. Yes I AM still alive, thanks.

      Glad to hear it!

      I was wondering.

  6. That's interesting. Don't see many wooden body shells.
  7. Girl, have you seen my fleet? Joking aside, I can certainly see what you're going for. And that T is looking very smart.
  8. I don't know. A bit late now as the sales were nearly a year ago.
  9. That is gorgeous! Very nicely done. Also love your little fleet of saddle tanks, has a lot of character.
  10. Came across this lovely little modded Ratio signal box to start us off. My next discovery was this little Hornby van which has been weathered. I might even say slightly over-weathered. Then there's this. It's massive, made by hand out of iron, one-of-a-kind... and just under 7 grand. At a slightly more realistic price is this adorable Gauge 1 GWR 0-4-0T from the Railway Loft. Followed up with another nice tank engine, this time a NG 0-6-0ST, G Gauge running on O Gauge track... that really looks like it should be an 0-6-2ST. This one's being sold by the famous (or maybe infamous?) Gostude of "£100 kitbash Oliver" notoriety. Though looking through his stuff, while it is a tad overpriced it's definitely a very eclectic and interesting mix.
  11. You're definitely creating a nice little fleet here Sophia. Keep up the good work
  12. Ah cool. Yeah, feel free to throw some photos of that up here.
  13. For posterity: It is an unusual, and rather oddly proportioned, beast, indeed. Good find Johnson.
  14. As I said, I wasn't either; I saw the side-on photo and was expecting a crummy clay face, a glued-on face off a toy or an off-model face like the Patriot Henry from a while back in this thread. A Payne Thomas face is very unusual as they're not exactly common. It's fine man. You're only human. Onto part 2 and a wooden goods shed. Quite nicely made as well, whoever made this put a hell of a lot of work into it. Then a shoutout to https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/e-bailey-0122?_trksid=p2047675.l2559, who is yet another maker of beautiful scenic elements. Then... I spotted this, and I just want to ask a question about why people sell just the boxes of models. I've just never been able to see the point of it. Then a... weathered ERTL Tiger Moth. Can someone please tell me if these are actually the correct scale? Because I genuinely don't know. Kind of reminds me of a conversation I had with @Paleopotato09 on Discord where we talked about converting ERTL toys to run on 009. I've seen a lot of these faces, and on this brakevan... that face actually looks pretty good, not going to lie. Bit over-priced? Maybe. There's a few from the same seller to be honest, but I chose this photo as it looked the best. The others just look a bit goofy. And it was inevitable to be honest for there to be a really low-effort Thomas cash grab on here at some point. Two Hornby starter tanks, one with a Duck face, the other with the Thomas face. Yawn. Moving on. I was wrong. You CAN get more low effort. This is literally a Percy with what appears to be Duck's chimney. I... OK then. And now four of the Famous Eight's faces on the Flying Scotsman - Thomas, Percy, Gordon and now Henry. Kind of ironic considering Tenders for Henry.
  15. Ooh, sorry. They aren't my listings or my sales. I'm making no money. This is just a thread for cool kitbashed or scratch stuff myself or others find on eBay as the title is intended to suggest; the links are to their respective eBay pages in case anyone is interested in buying anything featured on this thread. I probably should've been more specific.
  16. Yeah, it does a bit. Right, first post in a hot minute so let's go in hard. Links to their respective listings by clicking the pictures as always. Edit: Just to make it clear, after being told off by the moderators, I need to reiterate that I am not the person selling any of these. I just find this stuff neat and am linking them in case anyone wants them. First off is this collection of body shells. The focus here is on the second row from bottom, which contains what are clearly attempts at making an Edward and Henry. Their tenders are on the top shelf. Looking through the other photos, we can see that the face on the Edward bash is... an original Payne-style Hornby Thomas one. Huh. Wasn't expecting that. Second one is this over-track signal box for a four-track railway line. It's way too big (and a totally incorrect style) for my KLR layout, so maybe someone on here. It has lighting too! Found right after it on my eBay page was this lovely kitbash of a pre-war factory building. Looks a bit like the older part of the packing plant where my older brother used to work.
  17. Still not terrible, though the tender is an odd colour.
  18. Yeah, they are quite smart. Very local to me as well as they did the Norwich ECML run, so I felt it appropriate that the KLR could have preserved one.
  19. Good job so far. I can definitely see where you're aiming now.
  20. Both of them look great, mate! CHONK. Very cute little engine. If I can get my hands on a Bachmann Bill or Ben I might do the same.
