  1. Very nicely done kitbash/conversion ..... Regards Trevor...
  2. So how much extra tax revenue has the Govt managed to rake in before the end of the finacial year by saying "don't panic" ???

      Coldgunner

I should be fine so long as I've got a towel...

  3. Nice job on the water tank Castle.......so many people forget that essentials like drinking water and also gas had to be supplied to outlying stations ,signal boxes etc ....not everywhere was on mains ...and these vehicles add interest to train workings and formations ... Regards Trevor ...
  4. Yup ...nice space .....it is a good sign when the first boxes in, have freight stock in them .....always prioritize !!!! Craig ..hope the photos help to gauge what can,if wanted, be fitted in an area ...and yes it is packed in ....will look better later when I get around to scenicing and building some staging tracks under .... Re.. visits to Eastbourne ....just goes to show what a small world it is really .... regards Trevor ...
  5. Craig ....as promised 20ft x 2ft yard area.. the other side... total layout space 33ft x 10ft ... and still I keep changing it ...Doh !!! Regards Trevor ...
  6. Or make the bit crossing from one side to the other a drop down or lift out for access ...? Regards Trevor ...
  7. If the bit in the 6' 5" area is reversed ...i.e. went under the layout to staging after going along the full 28' it would give a greater area for a yard etc ....on the back wall...? Regards Trevor ...
  8. Craig, I will take some photos of my yard area tonight ...which may be able to help you visualize what will fit in a 20ft + space ...it is designed to work reasonably prototypically......similar in form to Dr.G-Fs SP yard plan ... Regards Trevor ...
  9. Had mishaps like that happen a few times at shows ......nothing to do with short circuits ...usually more to do with short skirts .... Regards Trevor ....
  10. 999.....someones stolen all our snow...or it might have just melted here!!

I think this big melt took the whole country by surprise. I was woken up at 0200 with driving rain against the window when I expected more snow.

  11. Peco code 55 isn't ...........true code 55 that is the rail section is double webbed ...if you look at it end on, the depth to the outside is = to code 55...to the inside,IE where the wheel flange runs is = to code 80 .. so visually is looks code 55 but running wise it is code 80 ...Simples !! unfortunately I am not in at the shop today ...so I cannot post a photo but will tomorrow if road and rail ever work again !!!! Regards Trevor ..
  12. Then have another one ... This layout is growing really well, and all parts a blending together ,stock scenery buildings and trackwork...just keep working at it ...excellent. Regards Trevor ...
  13. Perfect ..... and more room for coffee cups on the R/H side now ;) seriously ...anything that reduces the number of bits dragged to a show has got to be good .. I must try to get to see your layout in the flesh some time soon ...it is excellent ... Regards Trevor ..
  14. Of course some preserved railways have been in existence longer than some original lines lasted,so does that not make some of them more "real" than real railways ...this thought came up when a group of us were discussing wether a particular narrow gauge engine could be classed a being of local importance as it had never worked in industry in this area but had actually been "working" at Tinkers Park railway longer than in industry.... It all makes for interesting speculation ...but I personally think that preserved railways are a good subject for a layout ..if done well..(most do try to get as much local stock as possible ,so it is not always a case of running anything) ....with an eye for the detail ...the mix of "historic" items and modern day can give a very plausible scene... Regards Trevor...
  15. Andy Y...Pigs might fly ??

  16. Excellent work there, it has come on leaps and bounds, would also suggest very dark grey or black fascia . The girder bridge in front of a cliff face works very well, solving the problem of the water disappearing into the backscene, always an awkward scenic situation . Regards Trevor ....
  17. Just wait a few months and you will find that the "real" one will catch up with the model.... Regards Trevor ...
