  1. My appreciation to:- n9 dasatcopthorne Mike Buckner Gilbert for taking the time to reply and your advice. I have emailed DCC train automation and am waiting reply as product not in stock. I have ordered some from Pendle Slot Racing. Interesting to find what others are using WD 40 and white spirit. Thanks again everyone, Bill.
  2. Anyone know a supplier in the UK who supplies the product "Inox MX3" used to clean track. I have seen quite a few reviews all praising this product, I can get it from Australia or the USA, but very expensive. Any nod in the right direction would be appreciated, Bill.
  3. I have used this member to replace the motors in two of my Accurascale class 37s and now they run perfectly, no slowing down or speeding up. They are now a pleasure to run.
  4. My appreciation to Bill Radford, Pete the Elaner, Nearholmer and Nile for taking the time to reply and giving me useful such advice, Bill.
  5. I have had for years the 00/HO gauge CMX track cleaning wagon and have found it a excellent way of cleaning my track. Unfortunately I am finding it very difficult to find the 00/HO gauge CMX cleaning material/pads in the UK, I can probably get them from America? but that will be expensive? I know Sharge do a track cleaning wagon and I could buy their cleaning material, but I'm told it is a lot thinner. So to my question;- Does anyone out there know of a alternative material to the CMX material. Your reply would be very valued, Bill.
  6. Just to let everyone know I received my Accurascale class 37 in Europhoenix R.O.G. livery Andromeda, yesterday 21.9.23. It is in perfect condition, but I did notice it had been run (by the usual tell tale signs on the wheels) I set up the switches inside the roof cover for DC as described in the warning card. I then ran it as I always do for 1/2 hour in one direction then 1/2 in the other at a 40 to 50% speed on my Model D, it ran beautifully. I have today 22.9.23. ran it for quite a while with various wagons with no sign of slowdown/speedup, great I can only hope it continues to behave itself? I am really pleased with loco it runs really smoothly and is so quiet, also it looks brilliant. Why my loco had been run before I received it? I am not bothered as I am so chuffed to finally get what I wanted, a great loco. I bought my loco from a retailer not Accurascale as they had none. I assume someone has been testing it somewhere along the line. It cannot be second hand as this loco is from the batch just released. Thanks everyone for all your input, Bill.
  7. My appreciation to Crosland, The Meercat, Adamvb, Kaput, Crosland not forgetting Fran, for your replies. Well I thought I was alone (not really) with this problem and clearly I am not. I'm so glad I posted my trouble on RM web, seeking information and am really pleased with all the helpful information received. I can only hope Accurascale can resolve this problem as the locomotives they are producing are so good with detail, quality, price, but running?
  8. Fran, I have just been notified my pre-order has been despatched, so I've everything crossed for a successful loco. My Gaugemaster model D transformer is about 10 year old but as I mentioned I had the same trouble with my Hornby HM6000 which is only 1 year old. Neither of these transformers are feedback. I don't use or have any electronic track cleaners, I hand clean with meths or with my CMX track cleaner with 99% IPA. This will be my last try for a successful loco from Accurascale, I have researched my problem as best I can. I do hope I don't have to contact Simon again but I will if he can cure my problem, so that I can successfully run a Accurascale loco I very much want.
  9. CazRail and Kaput, I wonder what is going on with these locos? I cannot fault Accurascale service. However I really would like a Accurascale loco that behaves the same as other manufactures do. Thanks for your feedback, it's very valued, Bill.
  10. atom3624/Al I have returned the class 37 so cannot do a check on front or tail lights BUT I do have three videos I took before sending it back. When I was videoing the loco I was concentrating on trying to capture the slowdown speedup malarky so all videos show mainly the roof of loco. However on one video you can clearly see the cab dash light dimming and flickering when the loco slows down, I use DC only. Again I appreciate your thoughts and being so helpful, Bill.
  11. Knapdale, so I am not the only one with this problem, thank you for taking the time to reply and I can only hope Accurascale can resolve your problem.
  12. Thanks everyone for your replies and advice. atom3624/Al I did set the switches as recommended in the instructions before running loco. cessna152towse I don't think it's voltage drop as none of my locos do this and I have class Dapol 68s & 59s Hornby 60s & 67 etc Fran, I dealt with your Simon Howard on the Accurascale support team, I sent him a video showing the loco doing this slowdown and speeding up. I'm sure he will recall our correspondence and video as it was only a few weeks ago. I would dearly like to resolve this problem as I have a Accurascale 37 ROG Andromeda Europhoenix on pre-order and am hoping 4th time lucky? and not having to return it, hence this research before receiving it. Bill.
  13. Has anyone had problem with Accurascale class 92 and 37 slowing down then speeding up? I had two class 92 and one class 37 doing this, all returned for my money back. None of my other 70+ locos are doing this. I use DC analogue with a Gaugemaster model D transformer. I also have a Hornby HM6000 transformer and the problem is still the same, so its not a transformer problem. Any feedback would be valued, as everyone else does not seem to have this problem or maybe they do?
  14. I had two brand new unopened HJA with spring missing both returned for replacement. I ordered 7 the remaining 5 uncouple when running. There is a pocket below the knuckle coupling but I cannot find socket that fits the pocket, I have a pack ofBachmann sockets and tension locks but the socket is too big to fit the Dapol HJA pocket. Anyone any ideas about what would fit this?
