Agree on the tippers , they have all had a go at a few, large and small ,EFE TK ,EFE Atkinson, BT Commer etc but in every case they have got the body/and or wheelbase proportions wrong IMHO. Funny when Matchbox could get all their tippers rightly sized way back then. To be fair to Oxford they have quite a few civilian liverys on their excellent WW2 lorries.

Construction items wish list , sure they would sell well . JCB 3C , Drott track shovel , Weatherill 2H loader Truck crane with strut jib Ready mix truck small dumper , small mixer , Road roller , A decent small tipper lorry ( ala Matchbox Bedford TK)

Intereresting Ringo , as an aside does anyone know when Leyland DAF badgeing was deleted in favour of DAF ?

See this old warrior Leyland DAF R304PNK about often on container work , beleive it's ex Freightliner looking at colours . Good example of how older vehicles would not be out of place on your layout.

Worked in Lincoln in 1988 and this area was very interesting from industrial view if a bit derelict , took no pics sadly , looks very modern but sterile now.

Lovely pic I think its a Bedford O , looks BR but a lot of other businesse had similar liverys ,however I think there was a big BR goods yard off to the left of pic . Bet this view isn't half as interesting today !

Excellent , the Commer C range is another truck thats being ignored by the main diecast model makers ( I think). Look at street scenes from the 70s and there are lots of them about , particularly with councils . Seem to remember many councils were very fond of Perkins diesels, which the Commer had.

Off topic but what I can gather on google - Alexander Dennis stopped building fire engines in 2007 , a shame so no one can buy a British Fire Appliance. A spin off company John Dennis still builds fire appliance bodywork on foreign chassis. That may mean Dennis Eagle dust carts are the only trucks manufactured in Britain as the Leyland Plant just assembles DAF from kits as far as I know.

Got a feeling there are some truck plants in Spain maybe Iveco badged.

I walked Cinder Lane , York on Sunday , large variety of Network Rail Euro vans and pick ups , mainly Trannies with a ladder on the side, but no camera ! Does anyone know when they stopped making LDV Pilots , saw a Freightliner one the other day going into their Wilton depot , must be getting on a bit .
