Hi Merf , The film does jump around a bit so maybe the OAR'S are in the south.

Mini Looks good Merf, watching vol.9 of the BTF films where it is from there is also one called ' Lost Stolen Damaged' LSD! about parcels from 1964 that is stuffed with BR vehicles many registered OAR??? mainly Scarabs and Austins around Glasgow.

Short film of a Karrier coming to grief , good underside detail ! Looks like the nicely suited manager's getting stuck in with the clear up. Yes Andy great to see some being preserved , this age of truck is just in that era when people don't save them. Like British motorbikes though , as we have no Truck industry left people will be oohing and awing over all British stuff in a few years, and these were such a part of the 'street' scene.. Must be good fun doing detailing in 1.1 scale ! Good info on Wisbech Merf , didn't realise without magnifying glass and in Smiths ( tightwad ) there was so much detail ! thought the two Majors were the same one.

Nice- no shortage of 'service' vehicles on your layout Merf ! I bought the BTF film in a compilation ,cheapish on Amazon , interesting but no better views of the mini van. This months Railway Bylines has a great shot of a BR Fordson Major / Muir Hill shunter inside front cover and some distant Morris views inside, all on the Wisbech Tramway.

Yes your right , with the wonders of Google street view recognise the still extant Stanraer terminal at the the entrance to port and the view of hills behind the van . They've panelled in the bottom of the windows sometime in the last 45 years !

So the diecast yellow model ones are fiction, thought i'd seen no photos . However Think I've seen a green BR engineering one in a btf film . Will post a still pic later.

. Yes it was a very neat and very tidy conversion and very clean , not like a travellers home .In the Higlands at mo so can't post pics. Coincidentally it was parked almost on the old Fort Augustus rail line. Funny how the Leyland Daf 4x4s seem to get surplussed before the Bedford MK/MJ they were supposed to replace ! Another great government decision that killed Bedford.-- rant over

Shame the photographer didn't get the cab, obviously wrong priorities ! Fairly sure its a tipper , the high set of the body well above the mudguards , high rear corner posts to give clearance to tailboard when tipping and the headache rack.

Just being catching up on the Willesden depot flickr photos , what a great selection, 12 BR vehicles and none the same , could the white escort van be BR? Agree about the Bedford CFs Merf 2nd best seller after the Transit and a common sight from1969 to now , amazing no decent models of it .Notice they are just creeping onto the rally fields. Yes spotted that one on the dockside from a ship and the next one to follow it was a shiny Ford D series ! Turkey full of fascinating trucks with at least five Turkish manufacturers making their own models and of course Turkish BMC now exports trucks and buses to UK !

Usefull info there Merf . Was in Turkey recently and the G cab still a common sight on BMC Fatih trucks cousins of the old BMC .

Great pic of the Pelican Bob , a lot of small coal yards had these and i presume they bught them new as they weren't much use for anything else . They had the big advantage that they could reach inside and unload 16t rail wagons unlike front loaders . This is the ex-Sleights coal yard one minus boom which I think the owneR may have fitted to a newer tractor.
