  1. Also 68068 retained round buffers and extended bunker which makes it more likely to have kept the steps. Cheers Malc
  2. Hi Al. just done that to my J94s. be careful 12 and13 had the removed when they had the later crest. 6,30,34,79 kept them I think 68 Kept it’s steps but have not seen a clear photo of it to say conclusively.I will try to post some pics later. cheers Malc.

  7. Try putting the new decoder in the power car to program it, they invariably need to "sense" a motor to enable programing. cheers malc
  8. 45103 Derby 27/5/1988 Photo of myself and two like minded spotters plus 45103 , 45103 coasted in engine shut down disgruntled driver said "every time power was reduced engine shut down" he had run the last twenty or so miles hand to mouth. Alas there is only one of the four left!! suppose I ought to be glad its me.

  14. HI jay it looks like 68068 has retained its round buffers on your photo , I must admit I didn't realise that it hadn't got the additional hand rails on the tank. Any idea of the date of the photos. cheers malc

Hi Jay ref your post 28/12/20 I am pretty sure 68030 and 68034 both retained early crests and numbers on bunker sides, 68013 late crest numbers on tank, 68068 retained high bunker and had round buffers when I saw it (probably worked from Cromford wharf end) the rest had oval buffers. cheers malc
