  1. Yes indeed. I understand however that Ellerman Lines has developed problems, largely to do with weight distribution.
  2. Are you sure that C19108 is of Croxdale? It looks to me to be just north of High Burnigill to me. (ie separated from the Viaduct by the overbridge (nearly a tunnel) for the B6300.)
  3. I keep opened tubes of superglue in the fridge. Seems to prolong glue life very well.
  4. Yes, stuff that some of us might not value or regard as toy-like, but still someones dream. I'm glad that you were able to help.
  5. Your detail is amazing, and it must be very difficult deciding where to stop. However....... Should the water/weed behind your ducks show some evidence of a wake? (Don't know how you could do that.) Also, since from your verdant vegetation it appears to be spring/ early summer might not your ducks have produced...... But perhaps they have decided not to bother this year, what with that fierce-looking heron in residence.
  6. Re: GPs Pressure on this service is immense. My brother nearly worked himself to death - with two pulmonary embolisms - before taking early retirement. Why does this government insist on demonising GPs, and piling more and more pressure on them? Why do they think that young professionals will stay in the UK? At the moment, I am very grateful to the NHS for keeping me alive, but I wonder what will be left in a few years time.
  7. I haven't checked this yet, and your BR timespan is strange to me, but would not a J21 and a B set (non-vestibuled brake/third/lavatory composite/brake composite) serve your purposes here? Have just looked up the Wensleydale services. Many of them appear to have been of 2 coaches only. G5s and D20s (and of course J21s) might give you some variety. Vans, horse-boxes, cattle-wagons you could use as required. Will look up more on the North Tyne line when properly awake.
  8. VIR (Very Impressive Railway)
  9. I am indeed lucky, and even more fortunate in that I do not have to endure life (and ageing) as a man! What is a Macidee?
  10. Thank you Woodcock29. Very helpful. Would you mind describing the method of cab roof removal?
  11. Well done, Oh great and intrepid modeller! The most I was able to do between completing 4th cycle of chemo and starting the preparation for my Autologous Stem Cell Transplant ( and catching Covid inbetween) was a little work on some LNER unfitted covered vans. Ironically these are being converted from the fitted versions. I hope your PICC line does not give you too much discomfort. Perhaps you might not mind if I send you a PM ? The only similarity to 'bee stings' in my recent medications has been provided by an anti-nausea injection. A short pain followed by the bliss of being able to enjoy hospital food! I should say though, that even on longer aquaintance, and allowing for the limitations of mass-catering, the food in this hospital is really quite good!
  12. Interesting coach. Does anyone know drawing/diagram no, and dates of construction/allocation/use?
  13. Good afternoon. I received my LNER model in time for my Birthday at the end of February. A prompt delivery, and no obvious breakages or faults. So far it has only been run in (as recomended) for one hour forwards. All pointwork, with single and double slips and plain (MR and LR) turnouts on my Peco Code 100 track was managed without problems Next is one hour backwards! I have only had a brief look too see how easy my required modifications are likely to be. The front frames will need the plastic of the body milled to profile, but the 'infill' appears to be solid metal which may require more dis-assembly/masking/milling. Has anybody else attempted this yet?
  14. I am still hoping to produce an A5/2 from a Sonic A5/1 Project rather on-hold while I emjoy some hospitality about 100m sw of the Coxlodge Waggonway.
  15. Is the 'William' Hill the new (or old) name for Shap?
  16. Question. Would the Railway Co. have been happy with such a tree overhanging tracks?
  17. Mark out, cut in, and modify the doors. (And keep options open for re-using the Barn on MkII ?)
  18. Interesting! I must look up my book on the FR (assuming that is the correct railway.) Was the descent into the pit planned or unplanned?
  19. Help. I'm using my smartphone in bed (recovering from some necessary but uncomfortable medical interventions). I think I hit the 'report' tab entirely in error. I don't know if I got out of it without making a 'report'. Should I contact AndyY?
  20. Seems a strange rig, with square rig on the main but not the fore. Perhaps easier to handle than a 'traditional' barquentine with the square yards on the foremast.
  21. Hoisting topsail yards. Fairly conventional in the later days of square rig.
  22. Actually I agree with you, but I was trying to be kind!
  23. Southerners! ( I suppose it depends on which side of the Trent you are used to.) Mind you the first time I saw 'Grantham' was at Barrow Hill. I got as cold as I could remember having been. Mind you I was not long back from Africa. Hope all goes well in York.
  24. Bowsprits could be swung up to vertical, to save space (and risk less damage) in dock.
  25. No bowsprit on Buccaneer?
