    Did they split the train at Georgemas Junction back then and one portion to Thurso and the other to Wick. Or do what they do what they do today, train goes to Thurso and the back to Georgemas and then onto Wick.

    Word of warning about Copydex. If drilling through the cork and baseboard the Copydex can wrap itself around the drill and pull out from between the cork and the baseboard. Best to cut a small square of the cork and Copydex out before drilling. (I know this from experience with an old layout).

    Dapol/Airfix/Mainline under-frames are not good, due to the solid cast brake levers. Better to use a Parkside chassis kit.
