  1. Hello, Regarding the 517 to go with our upcoming autocoach in Crimson Lake livery, product 4S-517-001 loco number 539 would be ideal Thanks for your interest, Cheers
  2. Hi Al, Yes all wheel pick-up Thanks for showing interest Cheers
  3. Hello, Reading the later posts about the higher ratio of the new chassis, during development it was necessary to also modify the bearing holes of the chassis to accept the new gears initially for the prairie models followed by the Manor, and now the new 43xx Mogul locomotives, so unfortunately the gears are not interchangeable between chassis.
  4. Hello, The factory have added the number to the buffer beam correctly but also fitted the number plate door ( not printed) incorrectly, we will look at getting some plain doors from China. but they are currently on vacation so it will be a while before these can be received.
  5. Hi, FYI The smoke box door fitted to 5320 in G W R livery is taken from a photograph showing no smoke box door with a number plate and without outside steam pipes, so we are correct and no replacement door is necessary See attached photograph
  6. Hi Ian, No, Hattons were never involved with this project which is wholly produced by Dapol we are currently waiting for the fully lined decorated samples before production can start, however with CNY around the corner I fear we shall not sees these until mid February.
  7. Hi Mol, That is very kind of you, hopefully some time later we could take you up on your offer Thanks
  8. Hi Mol, Thanks for posting the excellent pictures in a lovely setting, would make some colourful varieties for a further run, just need to sell through the initial batch first. Cheers

  10. Hello, The DCC sound file includes the guards whistle, door closing ,bell codes to driver and fireman, passengers chatting whilst stationary and the Gong (not fitted to the original autocoaches in the lined Chocolate & Cream livery and the lined Crimson Lake livery) Thanks for your interest, Richard
  11. Good evening John, Glad you are enjoying your B4 including the performance which is down to design. It is fully compensated allowing the front axle be able to rock over a central pivot much like a three legged stool, it always has its legs on the ground, whereas a four legged one can loose contact on an uneven surface, like the model over uneven track or points, no stay alive necessary. Dapol best by design Cheers Richard
  12. Hello, I would like to advise you chaps that we include with the locomotive painted etched name and buiders plates for the relevant period for you to apply if necessary. Regards, Richard
  13. Hello Chaps, I don't normally look at the laptop over holidays, but I am attaching a screenshot of the roof profile as drawings can be deceptive, but just to assure you that the roof is curved without straight sections. Thanks Enjoy your Easter Sunday, Richard
  14. Hi Edwardian, The 57 foot toplights are in design and will be signed off soon, initially we shall be making the later steel panelled bodies built from 1914. Thanks Richard
  15. Hi, Regarding the end wall at the luggage end, there will be two versions, one as built with windows and one later converted with the windows filled in. Exactly the same as the Lionheart 0 scale model. I believe the maroon livery was applied to at least one of the coaches, I will check my files when back home in a couple of days Thanks Richard
  16. Hi Rob, As this is one of the Drummond engine builds it has his chimney, also note the dome is further back with a higher pitched cab roof all taken from a photograph. Glad you like the livery, Richard
  17. Hi Guys, The two models in the cabinet at Kettering were for decoration and detail corrections, please note the water capacity error has already been advised to the factory. We shall be offering detail differences, such as fluted and fish-belly coupling rods for the later build, boiler top handrail on Western locomotives and SR lamp brackets. Production is scheduled for June so all being well they should be available around October 2023 Cheers, Richard
  18. No problem miss, these are just first shots and do not replicate production, our flyer states what we are producing and I can assure you they not only will have the correct spring hangers, but two types of axleboxes three different foot boars with supports, two buffer styles, full interior details with working cabin and verandah doors, and the AA 21 has the full vacuum brake gear with the vac. cylinder in the verandah in place of the seat, so embracing diagrams AA15, AA19, AA20 and AA21 totalling over a thousand brake vans Richard
  19. Good Evening, This new series of Ready-to-run Lynton and Barnstaple rolling stock in 7mm scale have to run on ready to lay narrow gauge trackwork and the only suitable track available is made by Peco to 00 gauge designated 0-16.5, however the intention was to design from the start conversion of the wheels to run on 14.0mm trackwork. Today I received specially prepared wheel sets from the factory set to 14.0mm and designed to be installed in the coach bogies to maintain the electrical pick-up for the lighting and will be available as an accessory part. Please see attached pictures where you will notice the bogies have been designed to be a snap fit into the chassis of the coach making contact with electrical connections. Also the separate coupling units are fitted to a pocket in the end of the bogie frame. I am waiting to hear whether a set of new driving and pony wheels are possible to be made to 14.0mm gauge for the locomotives. Regards, Richard
  20. Hello, These first Cads shown are obviously for checking, which will be done over next week with comments sent to China, including the orientation of the rear driving wheels. Regards, Richard Regards, Richard
  21. Hi Ray, The EP samples are not indicative of any production models. Please note the various fittings are for checking only. I can assure you the actual productions will have the correct components, for example the LNER model will have the extended bunker and extra central step plus other fittings according to a picture of the prescribed model, and yes you are correct these versions were only steam braked. Regards, Richard
  22. Hello, I do have Petroleum Tank Wagons of Britain by Tourret which contains so much information on so many different wagons, in fact I found this book together with the Modellers Backtrack series as Mike mentions were instrumental in producing my 7mm scale Lionheart tank wagons, which these new 4mm scale ones are based on. Regards, Richard
  23. Hi, The gear ratio has been changed to 30:1 which was first released on the 2-6-2 Prairie, and as the Mogul and Manor utilise the same driving unit, these now have the later gear ratio of 30:1 Thanks and Regards, Richard
  24. Hi Mark, Thank you very much for your information on these tank wagons which is all very useful. It may be possible to add a different filler cap providing there is sufficient room in the tool. Regards, Richard
