Class 66 in OO Gauge - New Announcement
Creampot Junction replied to Hattons Dave's topic in Hattons
Hi, Legomanbiffo did the original sound for the Hattons class 66. I have included a link to where you can purchase the chip. PLEASE NOTE: That when ordering you will need to select 'Version 5 MKL' version of the chip so that all the light options work compared to the standard V5 version. https://www.dckits-devideos.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1639 The loco is NOT fitted with a speaker. So you will need to source one. However with Loksound decoders they come with a sugar cube speaker kit. My advice is still source another speaker such as the Earth Mover 2 as something like this was fitted to the sound fitted examples and are much better speakers. Hope this helps. Chris -
Hornby 2023 - Bluetooth decoders and control system
Creampot Junction replied to AY Mod's topic in Hornby
HI I Like to keep my decoders up to date with the latest updates to the sound profile. I am just wondering will it reset all my CV's which I have customised back to default? If this is a case do you think you can report back to Hornby to try and find a outcome to prevent this or a way you can save them ? Many Thanks Chris -
I for one would like the working lamps even if there are fixed for an express or not. I would be disappointed if they didnt as as at the end of the day, I have ordered this at a high price and would want all the bell and whistles for that price.

Hornby 2023 - Bluetooth decoders and control system
Creampot Junction replied to AY Mod's topic in Hornby
Nope, you haven't done anything wrong. Unfortunately at the moment you can't have them working on two devices. Unless you unlink the decoder from device 1 and re link it to device 2. Hopefully Hornby will sort this in the future so you can have easy access to all your decoders on both devices. Hope that helps -
Been waiting years for someone to make some. But no luck yet 😥

Great work. Does that mean you got the final two up and running. So you had a clean sweep of 66's all fixed? -
Class 66 in OO Gauge - New Announcement
Creampot Junction replied to Hattons Dave's topic in Hattons
Hi, Many Thanks for the offer. I think someone is sorting me out with one. Unfortunately the Royal Scotsman one is the wrong one I need as its a yellow on the air dam and not orange like the standard GBRF 66's which is one what it is needed for. But I am very much grateful for the offer though. Chris -
Class 66 in OO Gauge - New Announcement
Creampot Junction replied to Hattons Dave's topic in Hattons
Hi, I am wondering. Has anyone have a spare GBRF Air Dam with the coupling slot. Plus the NEM socket which plugs into the bottom of the loco as pictured below and circled in red? As I never add the extra details as I use my locos with couplings at both ends. So I need to replace the full detail end Air Dam with this one if I can get one. I have tried Hattons but no luck. Many Thanks if anyone can help. Chris -
Don't forget it takes a couple of years at least to bring a new loco to market. So this could be why we haven't seen one. As those announced will be in the shop over the next couple of months. Plus they have a back log to get through still.

Unfortunately I think it be a couple more weeks yet before Android. Going from reports above and the process of converting it. As android has to work with serval operators systems unlike just the one for apple. -

I messaged Simon Kohler back in January about the lighting functions on these. As quoted below is his response. 'Thank you for your email and yes, the new decoders will be able to fully control the lighting as you have described (Tail lights both end. Day and Night'). I would also point out that the sounds are downloadable free of charge and that the have three sound channels which means that you can have three sound effects running at the same time – ie. Wheel squeal, horns and one other.' So fingers cross they will work in the Hattons 66. The only thing I am worrying about is that Hattons didn't use the standard ESU locksound 5 sound chip, but the MKL one. So I don't if that will effect them. I will be buying one myself to found out if they do. If not it will go in a another loco. Hope that Helps Chris -

The TXS sound versions are now all in stock. So I would expect the app to be released in the next few days. Cant wait for mine to arrive and explore what this new system has to offer. -

That's because the order has to be over £50 to qualify for Free P&P. Which it does with the original price, before you used your rewards points. The Rewards points looks like it works as coupon, which obviously knocks the order below the £50. Which is why you have been charged for P&P.
