  1. I’ve paid the initial £25 for my order of 001, can I ask why though has the company gone down this route ?
  2. I was under the impression this new upfront payment had been dropped ? I’ve ordered, and paid but it does put me off having to pay a sum in advance even if it is a small sum.
  3. I should really of put a smiley face to indicate I wasn’t being serious about a motor-less option, although a motor-less and bogie-less model to portray the Worksop ones would be interesting! lol
  4. I’m wondering if there will be a batch two at some point, and also do you have the permissions to reproduce the European Passenger Services brandings? Also, following on from the above are there any plans for a motor less 92040 to replicate its over 20 years of disuse ? Cheers !
  5. Most of the remaining track now secured to the boards in the correct places, we’re going for a less is more approach. But there is still room for a decent amount of Sunday stabling of locos. Need job is to finish the joints, and connect the bus wire up.
  6. Excellent, thank you I’ll take a very close look and hopefully apply your work around.
  7. Stupid question alert…….I assume the German models will run on UK O gauge ? Might well be interested in a Euro 66.
  8. A flavour of the actual depot area, with fuel point and load bank road. The plan is for at least one Road with conductor rail to allow the 92 access.
  9. Apologies if this is the wrong thread or it’s been covered before. I have nine of the medium radius turnouts laid as supplied out of the packaging with metal fishplates on all ends. Seven of the turnouts, including a double slip work absolutely fine but the last two short when my locos pass over the frog. Weirdly I’ve had my Accurascale 92 run through okay heal to toe, but then stall cut out toe to heal….my Bachmann 37 just doesn’t want to pass through in any direction sorting out on the frog. Ive seen a YouTube video where the chap says there have been issues experienced with cut outs the frog but he couldn’t replicate it with his complex set up. Do I have to dud points? Seems strange all the others work fine, the two problem turnouts laid the same as the rest. Is there a work round, at the moment I’m not using any point motors so there no polarity switching could this solve the problem ? Many thanks
  10. After cancelling my initial 92 many months prior to the arrival, I’m so glad I picked one up a few months ago, superb models with outstanding details and sound package. My only disappointment is that I missed out on the TTG models but hey ho I’ll have to wait for a second run at some point.
  11. Quite, but as someone who’s been on all three ends of an event that caused the disruption we shouldn’t not enjoy our hobby as it’s a relief to the events in life that often push us to one end of the triangle.
  12. First at of baseboard joints sorted, just need to take the plunge and cut the rails! I am have a shorting issue with two of my bullhead points however, the two on the bottom right hand side. Locos run over the blades but then stop dead on the frog. Weirdly my 92 made it across once, but my 37 stalls every time. The points are Ali’s out of the box with the bullhead fishplates on all ends just like all the others which have no issues at all. Weird !
  13. Track laying recommenced today with more or less all the remaining track works laid loosely, it’ll need taking up again to solder droppers and drill point motor holes. All tested, veer pleased we decided to go down the route of bullhead track laid and ready to go, can’t fault it!
  14. The station will hold four carriages, with a head shunt to allow a loco to uncouple and run round.
  15. Hello, I’ve finally got some boards and track together to run some trains on my new model railway. The scenic boards measure 15ft x 2ft with a at present 5ft x 2ft storage area at a L to the main scenic area, all track is Peco bullhead with the new accompanying points which I’m extremely pleased with as even with the double slip it works out of the packet with no modifications or plastic fishplates. The overall plan is for a small two platform station, similar to Weymouth in appearance, a small carriage servicing area and traction maintenance depot. I’ll be filming my progress so please feel free to pop over to YouTube for progress, as well as posts on here. Enjoy !
  16. You’d of thought opening doors on DMUs is the next step in the DCC evolution, we’d got DCC operating Pans why not passenger doors ?
  17. I’d personally love to see any modern (1980-present) wagon from the team, we’ve loads of modern locos, few RTR wagons to hang behind them. When I say “any” wagon, I would say small to medium size. I think Dapol have made a mistake modelling the large hopper wagons to go with the 66, they certainly missed a trick not going for a medium sized wagon like the Thrall BYA steel wagon, seen nationally and often in very short trains and sometimes on their own. For the BR era something like the BLA or BAA wagons like Cavlax have made. if they where to shrink ray the OO range, then the blinding choice would be the JSA wagons, just like the BYA they're often seen in short takes and on their own. On the other hand, loco wise…….a Class 67 in O plenty of colour schemes, approaching 25 years old now with a wide operational range Scotland, Penzance, Wales, Norwich, Kent, North East & West and everywhere in between, more or less stasnrd body shells (from a non expert POV) and can be used on freight, Mail, passenger, test trains and light loco from a modelling POV. Not a huge Deltic size loco, nice medium sized loco with very wide spread appeal.
  18. That was my plan, prepare the board for frog juicing etc just in case. Thank you all for your help, it’s been extremely helpful indeed ! Regards
  19. Fantastic thank you guys, so just so I’m clear you can lay the points as supplied and they’ll work without issue on DCC? Regards
  20. Good morning, I’m about to start a new layout using peco OO bullhead track and points do I need to insulate the points as you would do with electro frog points? I’m using DCC control if that makes ant difference. Many thanks
  21. Model due at some point in 2024 now, when asked Dapol direct on the weekend.
  22. Congratulations Gentleman, well deserved - I’m really looking forward to the O gauge Class 67 the 2024 Gold award model 😉
