  1. Looking at this announcement it seems we'll soon be resurrecting Zero 1? Personally this smacks of a last throw of the dice with Simon Kohler sticking to what he knows. I hope all goes well with Hornby but this seems a backwards step from where they were 18-24 months ago with good releases and a well presented engine shed. Nik
  2. We passed that a while ago, would think we are fubar by now.
  3. Do I Look Like I Give A Fxxx Dilligaf. Maybe Hornby are releasing a Jay-Z cover: I've got 29 problem's but a Peckett ain't one. Hat coat gone
  4. They have managed to find the tooling for the APT-P and are going to produce a railroad version, having realised the potential of DJM''s. Nik
  5. I'd just like to be first with a pre-emptive Nothing here for me It's how much! That green/blue doesn't look quite right. Think of it as a kind of announcement bingo. Nik
  6. When looking at the index..... ooh a post ooh a post, new pictures? Release date's. Opens post: Oh a whinge about no news. Sigh. Hurrumph. No news. Nik
  7. Payment taken for a lined Maunsell example and black with Egyptian lettering. Should be a nice little parcel when they arrive. Nik
  8. Going back a few posts, what did become of the 58's? Are they still used or are any preserved? Nik
  9. Think I'll try this approach with my Doctor! I'm not overweight, I'm out of scale. Nik
  10. Bure valley models have some bargains on. Always worth a look, they do good prices and seem to not sell out of stuff too quickly. As usual no connection just a happy customer. https://mailchi.mp/dd31a61434f6/october-model-show-and-bargains-403847?e=7055aa8a0d Nik
  11. If you want to see or travel behind 68s You could come to Norwich and take the short set to Gt Yarmouth. Travel by train or car and Norwich is not much more than an hour away(when its not snowing). I can't tell you when the 68s are running but they seem to be on most days. Nik
  12. The reason, as any NCFC fan will tell you, is that nothing good came out of Suffolk. Nik
  13. Wouldn't this be better in the 'Modelling musings and miscellany' thread rather than one for Hornby? Also I'd say this has been done to death in various threads, not least Wright writes. Nik
  14. Prices look to good to be true though. Nik
  15. Think it must be a misprint but the boche buster and locomotive for £50 and a dcc sound for £100 looks good.
  16. Forgive my confusion but I was under the impression that a Southern version of the crane was being produced ie a pre1948 model, but reading the latest posts it looks like it is a southern region post 1948. Is this the case? Thanks Nik
  17. I'm not really suprised the malachite is a slow seller, even as an ardent SR fan I tend to stick to black or olive green if I can. Having said that I did get the 2 Merchant Navies released last year but malachite does kind of suit Bulleids own designs. Nik
  18. As a Southern fan I was hoping for less releases this year so my bank account could recover from the recent hammering it's taken and scheduled to take from pre-orders. Having said that I'm now going to be a hypocrite and ask if Hornby are reproducing the Brighton Belle why not do another pre1948 example given how much the 1934 ones go for on ebay. I'm sure I can't be the only one on the look out for one? Nik
  19. Deleted as posted in error sorry
  20. 10201 arrived this morning , I have to say it's a great looking model and what a weight. I can't see much stopping it. Slight problem with one set of steps in the bottom of the box but nothing a small blob of glue won't cure. All in all very happy. Nik
  21. I'm not sure how much help this is but Railway Modeller had an article in the early 90s (possibly even late 80s). The reason I remember is it was my first go at model bashing turning a Grahman Farish BG into one. Nik
  22. I'm really hoping for a lull in southern region models to allow my bank account to catch up with whats already been announced/released. We've certainly been spoilt in recent years. Nik
