Well the French perspective will be interesting, be thankful it's not a US production or the American navy would turn up and save the day!

Dr Who became appalling soon after Tom Baker left.
Peter Davidson was OK, but Colin whatsisname and Sylvester McCoy pretty much finished it off.
The relaunched version always seems to be a bit UK centered, with all alien planets looking suspiciously like the same welsh quarry ie low budget.
Honestly a female lead is the least of the shows troubles.

This prototype Wolseley could be purchased new for only slightly more than the current model of the train in the background of this advertisement;
The model will probably last longer and be more reliable as well.

What an absolute peach. Looks like the long wait could be well worth it.

And don't the A-10's and challengers look great in malachite with yellow lining!

Whilst not brave or skilled enough to weather things myself, the toning down of the wheels and motion is certainly an improvement. I find Hornby's coloured wheels can look a bit plasticky.

Thanks for the replies.

Does anyone know how the Kernow pre order system works?
I've ordered a Bullied diesel and the money has been removed from my account, do Kernow keep hold of it or refund and request at a later date.
I have the gate stock and road van on previous order but no money was taken previously.
I think I read something before but can't find it at the moment and have looked through Kernow's website but again can't see anything.
Thanks

Superb modelling. The back of that thatched cottage looks like it has just had a herd of cows walk past, the weathering and staining is most realistic.
Keep up the great work.

Personally I've got the lined version on pre-order and am very tempted by the malachite version as well.
Having both a Beattie well tank and an 02 already I'm more than satisfied with the quality of Kernows product.I would expect from the knowledgeable people on board with this item that it will be a case of more of the same.

Maybe it would be best to wait and see what the finished model turns out like.
If it is of an acceptable quality for you personally, purchase it. If not, don't.

The samples are looking good whilst I'm glad I ordered the lined pair I'm very tempted by the malachite set as well.

Finally had time to get the MN's C1 and C3 out of the box and I'm really impressed. Personally I would've liked a pivoting pony truck, but given the fact Hornby have tooled and produced what amounts to a one off in C1 it would be rude to grumble.
As for the Malachite, it's definitely green and I wasn't around in 1941 to argue its correctness.
Looking forward to one in wartime black now.

Great customer service from Rails from request to split sets to multiple sales in under 24 hours.

Fantastic, 21C1 and 21C3 arrived from Rails today honouring the pre-order price of £134.50 each.
Superb models which even my wife were impressed with.
Congratulations to Hornby on such a fantastic production.

Good luck, that is a considerable layout which as a fan of all things Southern I will be following with much interest.
All the best

Love the Europhoenix livery probably one of the best about at the moment, but not so keen on the front end style of the 37 now. Much prefer the domino look.

Fantastic I might actually have the money for the 2 I've pre-ordered by then!
-
Looks great in black and sunshine lettering. Have these only just been released? Hopefully they'll hang around longer than some of Hornbys other offerings
I'll have to wait as I'm expecting the Merchant Navy's to be out any day now and with 2 on pre-order funds are going to be a bit tight.

That is useful If Bachmann could do a LBSC 3 set next, that'd be great!
Could we wait that long?

The whole idea was to build something that wasn't going to be just like the layout next to it at exhibitions...after all it's really just another 20' long terminus to fiddle yard layout, but it looks different.

"Looks different" looks blxxdy amazing to me.
Great to see such another fantastic layout after Saltdean, and going ahead at such a pace.

If that station is anything to go by I expect a high quality layout.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this develop as I have a similar sized space available and a large collection of Southern stock waiting to be put to good use.

As a Southern modeller we've been spoiled for small tank engines of late. The Dock tank, Beattie, O2 and the announced Dapol B4 and Hornby's H class.
I think if I was Modelrail I'd be looking to another region for a suitable candidate for the next project.
I also think that a national publication wouldn't want to be seen as to southern centric.
From a personal point of view my wallet could well do with a brief period of respite what with all the other Southern region models to come, as built MN's, birdcage stock, gate stock etc

Honestly thought that first shot of 47459 was real.
Fantastic modelling as always. One of my favourite layouts.
