After a 10 year break from posting my accusition of bachmanns class 20s 308&309 have inspired me to upload some videos i did of them on the Autumn Highlander 2013 railtour. Day 1 out of 4 uploaded so far. If interested or you were on the tour search for autumn highlander drs class 20. (Parts 1 to 9). Its years of looking at models with the wrong rake and angle. Hours of filing the old lima model and custom made windows made a slight difference! The Hornby one was much better but still iffy.

Try as you might they were black, plenty of images on google,without light reflections!

I remember well the first trans pennine coaches being introduced used to travel on them a lot. They had black roofs.

I wasent going to order a class 60, however after 56019 shaking the foundations ive ordered 60061, hope it sounds as good, have every confidence. Well impressed👍

The 2014 one is perfect for an ex works loco and to my eyes is the best. The first photo matches an age worn one. Whats jumps out though is how crude that model looks now. Low hanging fruit with decent sound springs to mind!

To think having working marker lights made us smile a few years ago! I for one am a massive fan of esu chips, also like zimo, thats just preference. Im going to just enjoy the golden age of model trains we are enjoying without picking the bones out of it and becoming a coding type geek!

Im sure all will be revealed in a splendid self indulgent, niave youtube review!

Really looking forward to getting my 56019, cant wait to make my own mind up about it. Is strange how people do youtube reviews, seem to have an overinflated view of their opinion in my eyes!😄
