It would all depend on diet I'd think...

Miss Marple mown down by a Jube on the Derby freight horror... 😜

They're tightened against the main direction of rotation so they'd theoretically not tend to undo in normal use. Some will probably have various types of knock over tabs to secure as well.

What about some authentic poo in the 4ft..?
-
The Ford centre hub nuts I was fighting with a scaff pole were "handed" R and L respectively as I recall.. ( I was aware of this btw and wasn't trying to undo 'em the wrong way! )
-
I've never snapped a wheel stud like that but did encounter one that ended up going round and round aimlessly, as it'd stripped the splines that held it in the hub. That one I just gas axed the bastard off 😁
-
I resorted to a circa 12ft long bit of scaffolding pole (over the end of a tommy bar & socket) to undo a Ford wheel hub nut once, it gave up finally with a loud "crack"

Certainly "a thing" with small pug types tho can't immediately find any LY pugs so fitted on tinternet, there's enough precedent though I'd say... Small "cut down" plank wagons seem to be the way to go.. 😁 -

I'm kind of sure I've seen a pic of an actual pug with a wagon behind serving as a tender, rings a bell from fairly long ago but can't recall if it was in Internet days or previously in a book or something... -

A pug flying round on Scalextric track.. Epic 😁 -
Doubtless not what you're really on about but.... In the Dapol / ex Airfix context, what about the "museum" models, Trevethick loco, Beam engine, Paddle steamer engine, 4 Stroke engine, etc...

More questions about equipment between the rails

What an interesting thread, I always used to look at the various mysterious cables & bits of "stuff" on the track as a nipper in SR Emu-land, and wonder what they were for. Certainly a lot to get your head round. -
Reminds me of some other mob who did a New Order song using only 1930s instruments.. There was a bit of a thing in the early 2000s for bands doing covers in a totally different incongruous genre, like heavy metal versions of ABBA and hillbilly country banjo versions of ACDC songs etc..

I know the picture you mean.. 😉

I couldn't even register at all a few weeks back, it just wouldn't have it, I emailed them and they replied suggesting I ring them and order my parts by phone, paying by card, which I did with no prob. Anything else I want I'll do the same, just making a list of stuff with part numbers etc. The bloke I spoke to was most helpful when I did my order.

Does that come with the detachable suspenders? (asking for a friend... )
