  1. I had the same problem cleaned the circuit board and membrane with meths but it came back after a while, ended up getting a new pad. On the bonus side bought a non working hand set really cheap replaced the pad for I think about a tenner and had it fully working for a third of the price of a new one.
  2. Hi Does anyone know if any other model motor will fit in the class 22 as I cannot get one specifically for the class 22. Mine runs for a fashion but not at a constant setting going faster and slower then it stops dead and causes a short. So I am looking for a replacement. Any help Appreciated. Thx Roger
  3. Both are n gauge farish 31s,the sound one is a zimo next 18 and the other a 6 pin bachma decoder
  4. Hi I have 2 class 31 one with sound the other with out, can you tell me how I can get the non sound one to pull away like the sound one so I can run a consist. I have read it before some where I know I have to adjust some cv's but can you help me with which ones. I did think of copying the sound CV to the non sound but I doubt that would work. Thanks
  5. Hi is it just my model or is this a power hungry model?. I have a DCC concepts power meter and when I use this locomotive the power draw seems to be twice as much as my other makes. It was fully run in and all clean and lubricated. Has anyone else noticed this or any idea how to cure it.
  6. I had a similar problem with my NCE unit. I ended up splitting the feed from the booster to the track and to a separate accessories bus bar,the track feed then goes into a circuit breaker for each district of track. My has been working fine now . The point decoders work fine now and don't overloaded my system. Did you wire the auto switch correct as I remember some were sent out with the wrong wiring diagram .
  7. Thanks for your suggestions, it's nice to get ideas of other user experiences.
  8. I have six signals to install at the end on my terminus platforms and looking for a DCC decoder to operate them. Can anyone suggest something suitable at a reasonable price that would work with a NCE system which is easy to set up and use.
  9. They are Dapol milk tankers I checked the back to backs and they seem correct with the setter, just have me stumped.
  10. Hi does anyone have a good way of making these run reliable mine don't like points or even nice flat track or curves. I was thinking of taking the flange off the middle set of wheels or trying to find flangless wheels. Any ideas will be helpful.
  11. They have not got any spare motors specifically for the class 22
  12. Hi can anyone tell me if the motor in this locomotive is the same as a class 35 or 26 27 as I think mine is on the way out,it seems to run hot and draw a lot of current. Thanks
  13. I had the same problems if the are not aligned correct they will play up. What I did was position each one and test it then screw it down while still testing,it was the only way I got the to work for me.
  14. It will do this as resellecting the previous loco will start with a speed of zero so will stop the loco.what you need to do is select how many recall you want in the settings of the nice controller,it can have up to 6. Then when you start a loco you can select another then press recall to get back to the first which will then still be at the same speed setting you originally had.
  15. Such bad news, she will be sadly missed by millions
  16. Ok is it just me or are the wheels on this made of a different metal?. Every time I want to use it I have to clean the wheels as they seem to tarnish and loose conductivity but my 64xx I can leave for a long time and it works perfectly!!. Does anyone else have this problem.
  17. If you want to use the one with out the motor as a different address you will need to program it with the motor one then take it off and program the motorised one to the number you want. The std motor decoder needs a motor to accept a address.
  18. Is it possibly to add a stay alive to these small 6 pin decoders,if so how?. Thx
  19. Hi I have a couple of the above but they do not seem to like my Dapol locomotives, I can't get them to work smoothly and they seem to stop and start run for a little then stop and start again. The track is clean and it happens in different locomotives. Anyone else come across this ?. ( Make your MP work don't re-elect them)
  20. If you look on the youchoos website they have some fitting guides which is a good start to look at. You can get a 6 pin decoder and speaker to fit in the tender.
  21. Are you using can DCC accessory decoder to switch the points?. You cannot use a point CDU and switches just connected to the DCC bus.
