    If I were you I would email youchoos, I found them very helpful when I had a problem,John went out of his way to help me, answering a large number of emails over a couple of weeks. I find there willingness to help there customer hard to beat. I have nothing to do with youchoos just a very happy customer. ( Make your MP work don't re-elect them.)

    The power cab default starts a consist at 127 the limited number I have tried have always worked.

    I have read about spraying your ballast with some IPA and water mix before gluing, could meths be used instead?. Would this work?.

    So I got a dummy hymek pretty cheap all I needed to do was change the gears from the old bogie to the dummy one and now my powered hymek works as it should. When I compared the old an new bogies the original powered one seemed to be shorter on the gear tower neck and the two originals when compared didn't match. Anyway now I have a powered Hymek that works

    I have striped it down and the only problem is the one bogie it just doesn't seem to fit right.I have swapped the bogies to opposite ends and the same bogie plays up either end. It looks to me that this one is a few tho shorter around what I would call the collet.

    Thx I have looked on their pages but they don't have what I want. The gears on the bogie are okay it's just the bogie doesn't sit properly in the chassis mount. I know it's the bogie because when lifted off the track it dangles down,where as the other even when swapped ends up still sits perfectly.

    I sometimes get this reading on my program track with the power cab. Make sure the track is clean and wheels maybe add a little pressure to make sure there is good contact,it usually works for me. Failing that try the nce recovery program then reprogram from scratch. Zimo decoder's are pretty good .

    Can someone tell me if the bogies are the same as the powered version. Have they got all the gears in them as I need to replace a powered version bogie. Thx

    Try adjusting CV 4 which is starting power,CV 5 which is top speed and CV 6 which is middle speed. Not sure if I am saying it right but if you have cv5 at 200 and cv6 at say140 then the acceleration should be slower I think.

    Usually you operate signal's like you do your point's with the accessory button. I haven't used merg stuff so not sure how they are addressed but I presume they connect to the power bus like other accessory decoder's.

    That's what it says but I think you will need perfect track laying.

    I finally have this working now thanks to John at youchoos who spent a lot of time and effort helping me understand how this is set up and how to address it. I am a very happy customer and have always found them very helpful but this went above and beyond in the costumer care. Thanks guys and lady of course

    I have the zimo instructions from there web site but can't figure it out, I am hoping someone can help with plain English easy speak.

    Hi has anyone got experience with this decoder. It can work 16 lights I want it for 2 2aspect signal but can't figure it out after reading the instructions. I use a NCE system can anyone help me.

    The chassis is metal and it has 4 traction tyres. I think I solved the stalling problem on points one of the stupid little wires to the tender was not attached but not visibley showing.

    Well mine is not a brilliant runner out of the box doesn't like a couple of large crossovers or points and the pony truck doesn't like to follow the track.

    Just received my 9f looks good hope it performs better then a B17 I had, that one must have been a Friday one.

    Just a thought but has the decoder been locked?. Some decoders get locked so they can't loose the settings.

    Hi I was wondering if anyone has retro fitted a new model pcb with speaker to a older class 31 with a 6 pin decoder and if so how easy was it.

    You can't change CV on the controller you have and the basic bachman controller is not that good should you decide to expand. If you know someone with a better system ask them to change the CV for you. If you intend to carry on with this hobby the best thing to do before anything else is get a better controller.

    Try removing the clips then try the loco over the point. The wheels on the front might not like the clips if they have a larger flange on them. Some models have a separate set of wheels more of a scale size with smaller flanges.

    Hi I have a class 40 and have lost the CV sound instruction sheet can anyone scan me a copy or tell me where I can get one from?. I have a few problems such as cab lights coming on when braking And rear lights only coming on when motor sound is off. I need to reset a couple of things. Thx roger

    It seems to be coming from the black rubber behind the buttons.
