  1. Looks really good and looks like lots of room for shunting, etc.
  2. Might explain why he spent the night at the docks to be harassed by Bill and Ben the next day. The engineers may have wanted to inspect everything before letting him back.
  3. When you see all three together, you get a real sense of the relative sizes of each. Some trains on the branch must take a leisurely pace as neither 6 nor 7 look like they achieve a high top speed. Also, based on the size of the "regular" fleet, does it mean no. 9 and no. 10 are the largest locos the branch can safely take? Certainly wouldn't get no. 4 up there.
  4. From the biography on Reverend Wilbert Awdry: In the early days of the series there was no island, that came after Thomas's branch line had been mapped out. I suppose there could have been some Welsh influence on the Island of Sodor, along with Scottish, Manx and English.
  5. Unfortunately they are shown as having arrived with the lining while still having BR logo. Otherwise it would be a nice explanation that it was added on Sodor:
  6. 92012 on a driver training run with mail vans from Tyne Yard to Doncaster in 2004: 92027 in York 2007 with a Doncaster to Mossend working: Both pics found on Flick and not my own.
  7. 92012 in York on a freight train in 2004: https://flic.kr/p/rTe45o Edit: Although looking a bit more closely I think it might be a light engine movement.
  8. I am sure we would all like Accurascale/IRM to model the 201 / C-Class that is also included in the line-up
  9. Possible the stone sheds were added to the redbrick. Early illustrations have a one road brick shed for just Thomas: https://ttte.fandom.com/wiki/Ffarquhar_Sheds/Gallery
  10. The wiki thinks they are LMS non-corridor suburban bogie stock in the books: https://ttte.fandom.com/wiki/Annie_and_Clarabel
  11. I have always liked that image too. Gives a real sense of "rush-hour" on Sodor. However, I could never understand why James' platform was curved, or angled away from the other platform.
  12. The ones in the London termini have steps down to the platform. This one does not appear to. If the station was Vicarstown and accepted there was a double barrel roof, rather than a single one, I could image the other half of the station was the BR part and it provided quick access to there from the station building. But of course it is meant to be Tidmouth. We will just have to use our imaginations
  13. I wonder where the footbridge is going in the image of Gordon and Edward?
  14. This picture is under the Tidmouth Yard section but provides a close-up (of sorts) to the coaling stage: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/ttte/images/6/64/DuckTakesChargeRS5.png/revision/latest?cb=20160323213735
  15. The Thomas The Tank Engine Wiki has a good selection of all images related to Tdimouth. Station area: https://ttte.fandom.com/wiki/Tidmouth/Gallery Engine Shed: https://ttte.fandom.com/wiki/Tidmouth_Sheds/Gallery Harbour: https://ttte.fandom.com/wiki/Tidmouth_Harbour/Gallery Yards: https://ttte.fandom.com/wiki/Tidmouth_Yards/Gallery I don't think it has ever been shown how Duck's branch fits into the station area. And it has never really been clear how the yard/harbour fits inot the station area, though in some of the shed shots looking towards the station, harbour cranes can be seen in background.
  16. I like the original layout with the coaling stage between two lines, though the shed area obviously had to be redesigned when more locos arrived:
  17. Could always start with the docks, and then get some more baseboards and add on the sheds, and finally add on the station. Whatever you go for I look forward to seeing it come together.
  18. This is an interesting page on the history of mapping the Island of Sodor: https://web.archive.org/web/20171215002014/http://www.pegnsean.net/~railwayseries/mapsection.htm
