  1. Slight tangent, but I had forgotten Dapol did a Pendolino until I came across an old magazine recently.
  2. Would be nice to recreate this train - Baby GM, van and two Intercity Mark 2s on commuter service to Maynooth:
  3. Since the Deltics are now shipping, is it time to start the "when is the 92 leaving factory?" posts?! 🤪
  4. "D-Day" is upon us (well not for me because I didn't order one)
  5. Not sure if this will exactly help you, but the historical article on the coaches on Accurascale site mentions some typical stock formations further down the article on different routes: https://accurascale.co.uk/blogs/news/history-file-the-br-56ft-11-suburban-coaches
  6. Watching the blue Deltic going around the layout with blue/grey Mark 1s and Mark 2s did make me think how good it will look with AS Mark 2s.
  7. Backscene really adds to the layout. Looks like a summer day in London and brings layout together.
  8. Looking forward to it. Enjoyed the Brighton book.
  9. I do wonder if Accurascale took down the forum over the last week or so to take a break from answering questions on when things are due.
  10. Two models to take off the list since Revolution are doing in OO and N: https://www.revolutiontrains.com/revolution-goes-ahead-with-adelante-and-coradia/
  11. Should have laid some track down on the real locomotive and run the model up and down it
  12. I remember being at Inchicore 150 Open Day in 1996 and was surprised to see the ex-works Tara wagon. I had always assumed they were that zinc-brown colour they are always seen in, and never occured to me any other colour could be underneath.
  13. It is an exciting moment now that the first loco from Accurascale / IRM is now on its way out to new owners.
  14. Is it the video quality or are all the coaches in that rake also first class? They seem to have a yellow stripe on all coaches except over the brake sections.
  15. I found this picture on Flickr of two Caledonian 92s on a Mark 1 test train in 2016:
  16. Although they are delayed, at least they are in production so we know they are definitely coming.
  17. Of course not all Mark 2s managed to make it into service in Ireland before conversion was complete.
  18. Will you be going for a niche within a niche within a niche and doing the numerically small fleet of Irish Rail Mark 2b carriages? Think there were about 3 or 4 of them (along with more Mark 2a and a few Mark 2c)
  19. Something to look forward to in three hours it seems:
  20. Never thought I would be one of those people who gets nostalgic for the 'as-delivered' look, but the RfD one does catch my eye the most. I may now be officially old.
  21. Looks good. Feels like there is real "weight" to it (which I am sure there is).
