I got mine from Amazon

Following on from my previous posts I have now added weights to the underframe of the power car. I am now very happy with how the unit runs.
-
yes that was my thinking too. I suspect it would just make the dummy car harder to push when leading.
-
Just the power car or both?
-
My experiment at this stage is quite raw. I simply removed the body and placed 6 coins on top of the power car. The results are quite pleasing. Clearly I need a better weighting solution but this definitely confirms lack of weight is the issue preventing slow running and causing severe wheel spin. I do have running videos on my Chesborough Junction & Healey Bridge Facebook group.

I now have 2 and out of the box they run awful and suffer severe wheel spin, particularly when going over points. Today I carried out an experiment and removed the body and added weight to the power car. This seems to improve running considerably.

I stand corrected. I was basing my incorrect assumption on Rapido being named on the 156 boxes and not the 143/144s
-
Additionally I don't think the Realtrack 143/144 was Rapido either.

I didn't because I sold them all in the end due to a change of era in my modelling.
