  1. This is from the Heljan fb page a few weeks back, so I guess that's where the confusion has arisen. Either way it doesn't matter to me, just stick a decent chip in it and it will handle the lights. They look pretty realistic aswell and arn't garish. **DELIVERY UPDATE** We are pleased to report that deliveries from our Chinese factories have restarted after the recent hiatus. The latest models to arrive at the Heljan warehouse are our new OO gauge Class 33/0s with high intensity headlights. These have been produced in a wide selection of later liveries from the late-1980s onwards, covering the BR Sectorisation and privatised eras. Our Class 33s are always hugely popular, with recent batches selling through very quickly. We expect this latest batch to follow that trend as it is 14 years since we last produced any ’33/0s’ with HI headlights in their final guise. Since those first releases, our Class 33/0s have evolved through several generations and this new ‘V3’ version continues that process, featuring improved radiator grilles with much finer metal mesh, as well as the improved body shape and finer detail of the ‘V2’ models released a few years ago. Models are also DCC Ready with an 8-pin decoder interface, feature working LED lights, a heavy diecast chassis with a powerful 5-pole motor, all-wheel drive and pick-up and a bag of optional detail parts to finish off your locomotives. With an SRP of £149.00 (£159.00 for weathered versions), these models have been produced in limited quantities and are expected to sell through quickly. Order yours now from your local Heljan stockist! 3450 BR blue 33012 WEATHERED 3451 BR green SYP D6515 Lt. 2. 33030 arrived today and its a stunner. The livery is crisp and the level of detail looks greater than I remember my other two being, but will check later. Will also run it later once it's cooled down, but for now, here's a few pics in the afternoon sun
  3. I havnt got mine yet to compare, but is it actually a retooling, or just a reintroduction of the later liveries on the latest tooling... Just that my Burma Star model with high intensity light from the last batch looks remarkably similar.
  4. Just had an email saying 030 has been dispatched. I've got 202 in dutch and 206 in BR blue from previous batches, and am really looking forwards to getting this one.
  5. Rails now reporting that the remaining models are in stock from next week.
  6. Class 43 Warship in Maroon SYP Good condition and boxed please. Would also consider Class 42 in Maroon with SYP.
  7. Carnforth Models and Locoshed Manchester have both said they are closed but are offering mail order. Jim from Locoshed said he will price match other shops where able.
  8. I don't think this sits well, especially when smaller / family run model shops which have shut may be relying on any orders they can muster online or via phone to live. Carnforth for example are posting any orders once a week. If Hattons want to close then that's cool, but they can't expect others to follow suit.
  9. Oh dear Class 37 D6714 is properly temping me!
  10. Anyone seen when EWS 030 and the rest are being released?
  11. This is so very true. I didn't even know that half of those things quoted existed lol and wouldn't want them falling off when I pick it up, so moulded (to the detail they are on the Bachmann release) is fine for me.
  12. Here's hoping the EWS livery follows shortly
  13. With all the pics and videos of 6201 doing the rounds, I'm really excited about Princess Arthur of Connaught arriving. Hopefully it's not too much longer now. The new tooling looks great!
  14. Just too add my experience of the Western. Its a different issue than yours, but alongside your report, it has still made me think about the reliability of the models again. I bought one new from a shop last week (full price from one of the big shops). Ran it in on Sunday, and within a couple of hours it juddered to a halt and would not restart. The lights all still worked, but no motor movement. It was running on dcc at the time, so I installed a replacement to check that it wasn't the chip. Still nothing. It could just be something as simple as a loose wire, who knows, but it was a brand new model, so Its gone back to the shop now, and I am awaiting what I hope will just be a simple refund. Half of me wanted a replacement, as the model looked very nice, but I don't want the hassle of worrying for the next x years if it's going to breakdown again when it's not just as easy as sending it back to the shop.
  15. If you're after a new 64xx, then my local shop, Arcadia Models in Shaw, has both GWR Green and BR Black for £72 & £85 respectively. The ones on ebay seemed a lot more than that when I looked. I got my GWR from him a few weeks back.
  16. Oh I'm excited about the 121 with speed whiskers. I've been waiting patiently for this one and resisted all of the Dapol sales upto now lol
  17. And then there's people like me who are happy with the Intercity livery and the mk3 DVT to run with his mk3 couldn't care less if they release mk4s or not
  18. Does anyone know if the LH version has been released yet please? Everywhere seems to be out of stock, so I guess I've either missed out or its awaiting release. ***Edit*** it's in stock on Dapol website so guess its just been popular!
  19. I had a break from laying track today and finished my cabin off. What a cracking kit it was to make. The laser cut precision made it much easier than a normal injection kit to construct. Pain to paint the lining, but overall enjoyable and worth the effort. I'm not going to town weathering it, as I think it will loose its charm. I've lightly done the bricks and roof. I fitted mine with the ratio internal kit, which needed trimming massivly, but will hopefully come to life when I light it up.
  20. That was mine this morning on ebay. Nearly dropped my porridge at the time :-O
  21. If only based on how much I sold my TPE 68 for on ebay this morning, I would say that the demand for another run is there. I would have kept it, but it was an impulse buy based on the line next to our house (and has since sat in a box in the cupboard) and I can now get 2 new steamers for it :-D
  22. I fitted a lenz standard into mine, but yes I can't imagine there's much room for sound looking in there so good points, especially if they ever bring a tts out for it.
  23. Wow that looks really nice upto now. Can't wait to get that running on my layout.
  24. I really hope they release a Virgin livery. Would probs go for an EWS aswell.
